After moving to Barcelona on loan, Marcus Rashford has spoken candidly about his time at Man United, pointing out the core issues that caused the Red Devils to decline.
"The team played far below Man United's inherent class," Rashford said.
"But if I look back, especially over the last six months, I ask myself: What did the team expect? For any team that is successful over the long term, they have certain unchanging principles that every coach and player has to follow."
According to Rashford, Man United often only focus on short-term victories, leading to a reactive approach.
"The club always tries to adapt, signing players that fit a certain system, but that's a reactive approach. If the direction keeps changing, you can't expect to win the league," the 27-year-old striker continued.

The striker on loan at Man United also denied that the team is in a transition period.
"Many people say we have been in a transitional period for many years, but to call it a transition, you have to start the process first. In fact, the real transition has not started yet." The England striker cited the example of Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool, stressing that patience is the key to achieving sustainable success.
Ultimately, Rashford concluded: "I feel like Man United have had too many coaches, too many different ideas and strategies to win, and as a result we're falling into a state of uncertainty."
Despite his straightforward comments, Rashford still faced a wave of criticism from fans, because he himself was considered part of the reason for Man United's decline.
