Many tourists visit General Vo Nguyen Giap's tomb during Tet

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024, thousands of people visited the tomb of General Vo Nguyen Giap in Vung Chua (Quang Dong commune, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province).

This year marks the 10th spring that General Vo Nguyen Giap has returned to rest in peace in his homeland of Quang Binh. The Border Guard has handed over the management and protection of the tomb to the General’s family.

Over the past 10 years, visiting the tomb of General Vo Nguyen Giap has become a cultural feature every time Tet comes and spring comes.

It is known that for many years now, the family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of General Vo Nguyen Giap have arranged time every year to return to Vung Chua to prepare the altar, clean the tomb and organize Chung cake wrapping, and at the same time offer to the General's tomb 2 pots of Camellia flowers, Nhat Tan peach branches and black tea trees.

According to the People's Committee of Quang Dong commune, thousands of people came to Vung Chua to visit the General's tomb during the Giap Thin New Year. The organization for people and tourists to visit the tomb was carefully and solemnly organized.

The number of tourists to Vung Chua this year has increased sharply.
