Teacher Nguyen Xuan Anh, Party Cell Secretary, Principal of Nuoc Oa Secondary and High School for Ethnic Minorities (Tra My Commune), said that in the 2025-2026 school year, the school will have 12 classes with 404 students, all of whom are children of ethnic minorities Co, Ca Dong, Mo Nong..., taught and managed by 48 staff and teachers.
From the beginning of the school year, the school has maintained an educational model that simulates a military environment with a strict sense of discipline. All learning and living activities are strictly organized, from early morning to late at night.
Every day, students start at 5am with physical activities, personal hygiene, cleaning their rooms and assigned areas. In the evening, they study together under the supervision of teachers. Phones are collected from 10pm to 6am the following day to ensure sleep and limit uncontrolled use of social networks. The boarding management team coordinates with homeroom teachers, youth union, and dormitory staff to maintain order.

Students are trained in small tasks such as lining up their shoes, folding their blankets neatly, and changing their shoes before going to the restroom. Outside of school hours, they grow vegetables, tend banana gardens, and harvest clean food, contributing to improving their meals and nurturing their love of work.
Tran Anh Thu (class 10/2) shared: “When I first entered school, I was very confused. But thanks to the teachers' dedicated help, I learned to be independent, wake up on time, study and practice seriously. I love school and my friends more.”
Thanks to training in a disciplined environment and life skills, when the recent flood caused flooding in the dormitory area, most students remained calm, proactively moved their belongings, ensuring absolute safety for people and property. Immediately after the water receded, all students voluntarily joined teachers in general cleaning, quickly stabilizing their lives and returning to study.

Not only focusing on discipline, the school also actively builds an environment for life skills education through mass and extracurricular activities.
Right from the beginning of the school year, the topic “Change for happiness” helps students orient their thinking positively and know how to live with ideals. Teacher Nguyen Van Sy, Head of the Boarding Group, shared: “We take life skills as the foundation, each activity is a lesson to help students grow up”.
Mr. Ho Van Sam (from Gie Trieng, Tra Lien commune), Head of the Parents' Association, said: "My daughter, Ho Hoang Huyen Tran (grade 11/2), has changed positively after her time at school. She knows how to take care of herself, help her family with work, uses her phone in moderation, and lives a neat and scientific life."
