In the mountainous communes of Ba Vi, Suoi Hai, and Yen Bai, the atmosphere of New Year's Eve is imbued with the peaceful charm of the countryside. In each home, the scent of incense permeates the ancestral altar, the New Year's feast is meticulously prepared from the afternoon, and children gather to await the moment of transition into the new year. As the clock strikes midnight, many families gather around their traditional New Year's Eve offerings, exchanging simple yet heartfelt wishes, ushering in a peaceful new year.
In suburban areas, the New Year's Eve atmosphere is even more vibrant. In Thanh Oai commune, Mai Linh (19 years old) shared that every year she and her friends go to watch the fireworks at the commune's designated location. “This year, our group arrived at 8 PM to choose a good spot. We watch fireworks every year, but each time it's a very special and unforgettable experience. The New Year's Eve atmosphere here is both lively and refreshing. Seeing everyone radiant makes me feel full of energy for the new year,” Linh said.

In Van Dinh commune, the central commercial park area was brightly lit and packed with locals and tourists waiting to watch the fireworks display. People from all the surrounding villages and areas continuously streamed towards the center. Many families arrived early, spread out mats, arranged chairs neatly, and chatted and took photos to capture the final moments of the old year.
The park, gardens, and surrounding streets were crowded but orderly. Authorities were on duty, ensuring security, order, and traffic safety so that people could enjoy the Lunar New Year safely. In the shimmering lights, everyone experienced the sacred moment as the earth and sky transitioned into the new year. Notably, during this time, Van Dinh commune inaugurated the "Artistic Light Road" – a cultural project completed just in time for the beginning of spring, creating a scenic highlight and contributing to changing the local landscape towards a more civilized and modern direction.

In the joyful and vibrant atmosphere of the New Year's transition, Comrade Nguyen Thi Thuy Ha, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and Comrade Nguyen Ngoc Diep, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Van Dinh commune, solemnly performed the ritual of pressing the button to ignite the fireworks display to welcome the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026.

The sound of firecrackers echoed like a New Year's greeting, wishing for peace and prosperity; conveying faith, enthusiasm, and determination to build Van Dinh homeland into an increasingly developed, civilized, and beautiful place. That moment was not only a highlight of the New Year's Eve celebration, but also demonstrated the concern of the Party committee and local government in caring for the spiritual well-being of the people, creating a warm, meaningful, and hopeful evening as we bước into the new year 2026.

The New Year's Eve atmosphere in Phuc Tho commune was also vibrant and warm. From early evening, the roads leading to the central stadium – where the "Celebrating the Party, Celebrating Spring" art program and fireworks display were held – were packed with people. On the brightly lit stage, musical and dance performances praising the Party, President Ho Chi Minh, the homeland, the country, and the new spring were presented, attracting a large audience.
Comrade Ha Van Tuan, Deputy Commander of the Commune Military Command, said that preparations at the fireworks display site have been carried out seriously and meticulously, ready to fire at the exact moment of New Year's Eve. Chairman of Phuc Tho Commune People's Committee Kieu Trong Sy informed that plans for ensuring security and order, fire prevention and control, traffic management, and environmental sanitation have been thoroughly prepared; the army, police, medical, and militia forces are coordinating synchronously and on duty 24/7.
