
The event was organized to celebrate the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2026) and the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2026).
This is not only a large-scale, elaborately staged cultural and artistic event of Ho Chi Minh City, but also an opportunity to recall the glorious revolutionary traditions, contributing to fostering patriotism, strengthening national pride, and encouraging all sectors of the population to continue working together to build and protect the Fatherland in the new era.

The program is structured into three chapters: "Songs of Independence," "Gratitude," and "Proudly Moving Towards the Future," harmoniously combining singing, dancing, music, documentary footage, and modern theatrical language. Through this, the journey of the national liberation struggle and reunification is vividly recreated, while highlighting the sacred value of peace today.
In Chapter 1, titled "Songs of Independence," the artistic space transports the audience back to the heroic years of the nation through performances such as the medley "What Could Be More Beautiful - Dear Party," "The Calm River," "Truong Son East - Truong Son West," "I'm Still Waiting for You to Come Home," etc. The image of the legendary Truong Son road and the vibrant struggle movement in the cities of Southern Vietnam is depicted realistically and emotionally.

Chapter 2, titled "Gratitude," is deeply moving, featuring works such as "My Mother - Sacred Vietnam - The Old Soldier and the Crimson Rose," expressing profound gratitude to the generations who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. The images of mothers, soldiers, and the losses of war are recreated in a poignant and humane way.
Following this is Chapter 3, "Proudly Moving Towards the Future," with a bright and vibrant tone, expressing the strong aspirations of Ho Chi Minh City and the entire country in the era of integration, through performances such as "In a Distant Island," the mashup "Singing with Binh Duong - Ba Ria - Vung Tau in Our Hearts - Ho Chi Minh City, My Beloved City," "Ho Chi Minh City - We Are Vibrant," "Proud Vietnam," etc.


The program brought together numerous renowned artists such as Vo Ha Tram, Dan Truong, Quoc Thien, Ho Trung Dung, Hien Thuc, Meritorious Artist Pham The Vi… along with art troupes, dance groups, and circus artists, contributing to creating a spectacular and culturally rich performance space.
The evening's artistic performances concluded with a dazzling 15-minute fireworks display, attracting many locals and tourists alike, creating an atmosphere of excitement and pride on this important national holiday.
