During the days leading up to Lunar New Year, motorbike washing services in the province are always crowded with customers from early morning until late afternoon.
At a car wash in Lam Thao district, the number of customers has skyrocketed, and employees work non-stop from morning until late at night.
Mr. Duc Tho (working at a car wash shop in Lam Thao district) said that the number of customers coming to wash their cars at the end of the year is 2-3 times higher than usual, so 4 employees have to be mobilized to wash motorbikes, so the price of washing cars has also increased by 5%.
For motorbike washing service, people will have to wait from 15 - 30 minutes.
According to the reporter's records, people's demand for car washes increased starting from December 26th of the lunar calendar.
Besides the motorbike washing service, the car washing area is also very lively and bustling.
Most of the shops in Viet Tri city have increased the price of car wash services but are still overloaded, customers have to wait in line for their turn.
Although car wash prices fluctuate, other services such as oiling, polishing, interior cleaning... remain the same price.
Mr. Vinh (owner of Car Center 19, Viet Tri City) said: "I arranged 5 employees to work continuously from 5am to 5pm but the number of cars is still congested; washing a car takes about 30 minutes so you have to wait 1-2 hours to get the car back."
During the Tet holiday, car washes will wash 30-40 cars per day, at a price of about 100,000 VND/car.
According to car wash owners in Viet Tri City, the days before Tet are considered the "golden week" of the year because people's demand for car washes increases, thereby significantly increasing their income.
