The Thang Long Imperial Citadel Tet Flower Street 2026 will take place from now until the 6th day of the Lunar New Year (Year of the Horse), and will also serve as a solemn cultural space to welcome Ambassadors, their spouses, and representatives of diplomatic agencies participating in the Vietnam Understanding Day 2026 program. Linking the flower street activities with this diplomatic program contributes to highlighting the role of the Thang Long Imperial Citadel as a representative destination in promoting the image of Vietnamese culture to international friends.

Mr. Jonathan Wallace Baker – Head of UNESCO Representative Office in Vietnam (far right) along with representatives of Ambassadors and their wives visited and expressed their delight at the "Sunrise of Aspiration" flower street at Thang Long Imperial Citadel.
Thang Long Imperial Citadel was the first monument in the capital city to be inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2010, reflecting the more than 1,000-year history of Thang Long – Hanoi. In this context, the creation of a Tet Flower Street within the Imperial Citadel opens up a new, in-depth approach, helping the public experience the traditional Vietnamese Tet holiday in close connection with history and national cultural identity.

The Tet flower street at Thang Long Imperial Citadel is a cultural and diplomatic highlight, welcoming diplomatic delegations and domestic and international tourists to visit during the early spring.
The 2026 Tet Flower Street at Thang Long Imperial Citadel is being implemented through a collaboration between the Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center, SOVICO Group, and Phu Long Real Estate Joint Stock Company. This is the first time a Tet flower street model has been organized at the Imperial Citadel, placing high demands on the harmony between the spring landscape and conservation efforts, ensuring absolute respect for the historical and architectural values and the unique spatial axis of the heritage site.
With the theme "Dawn of Aspiration," the flower street evokes a symbolic transition between the memories of a thousand-year-old capital and the aspirations for development of Hanoi in the new era. The experiential space is structured into four chapters – Capital – Aspiration – Gathering – guiding visitors through layers of heritage memories, historical depth, and a spirit of looking towards the future.

Many children, dressed in traditional ao dai, arrived early to visit and experience the flower street at Thang Long Imperial Citadel.
Flowers are used as a "soft material of time," contributing to the enhancement of the architecture and spatial axis of the Imperial Citadel. The flowers are arranged in multiple layers, combined with restrained lighting and natural materials such as bamboo and wood, aiming to maintain the heritage space's inherent qualities: solemnity, tranquility, and rich historical depth. The highlight is the characteristic trees and flowers of Northern Vietnam, such as Dien pomelo, kumquat, and peach blossoms, interspersed with rows of flowering rice, along with many familiar flowers of Vietnamese spring.

Alongside Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Home Hanoi Xuan 2026 at Mailand Hanoi City continues to spread the Tet atmosphere to the community in western Hanoi.
Alongside the Tet Flower Street at Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Phu Long Company continues to organize the Home Hanoi Spring Flower Street 2026 at Mailand Hanoi City urban area, in the west of Hanoi. Home Hanoi Spring is an annual spring cultural activity maintained by Phu Long, serving residents and tourists in western Hanoi during the traditional Tet holiday.

Home Hanoi Xuan was awarded a UNESCO certificate for outstanding innovation, recognizing its efforts to integrate traditional heritage into creative urban life.
Phu Long simultaneously organized two flower streets in Hanoi during the Lunar New Year: A ceremonial and diplomatic heritage space at Thang Long Imperial Citadel and a community cultural space at Mailand Hanoi City demonstrate the active role of businesses in collaborating with Hanoi City and UNESCO on cultural and heritage activities, contributing to spreading the values of traditional Tet to the community and international friends.
