The vibrant Ha Long Carnival
A new highlight of this year's Carnival is the expansion of the venue, creating a true "street dance party."
The program was held on the shores of the heritage site of Ha Long Bay.
The parade route, stretching nearly 1km along Tran Quoc Nghien street, is designed as a continuous loop, directly connecting to the main stage area, thereby blurring the boundaries between the performance space and the audience area, enhancing interaction and experience.
The crowds were huge, with the event attracting around 80,000 visitors.
A vibrant space
On the evening of the same day, along Tran Quoc Nghien street, the Ha Long Carnaval 2026 parade kicked off with a vibrant festival atmosphere, where hundreds of domestic and international artists immersed themselves in colors, music , and dance, creating a vivid "picture" of a youthful, integrated, and culturally rich Quang Ninh.
The program was incredibly impressive.
At exactly 6:30 PM, the Ha Long Carnival 2026 street parade, stretching approximately 1km along Tran Quoc Nghien street to the 30/10 Square, officially commenced with the participation of 14 art troupes. The festival space opened impressively with a grand performance titled "The Origin of Heritage," featuring hundreds of drum and lion dance performers, creating a vibrant rhythm that captivated the audience.

Throughout the parade, the performing arts groups presented a vibrant tapestry of colors, harmoniously blending tradition and modernity. Highlights included the Carnaval beauties in costumes inspired by the sea, the passionate samba dancers, the Then artisans recreating the cultural depth of the highlands, and the image of mine workers – a distinctive symbol of Quang Ninh . Interspersed were street circus acts, hip-hop, and dancesport performances, creating a youthful and energetic rhythm.
This is considered an impressive program for the 2026 tourism season.
The highlight of the program is the combination of "dynamic and static" performance mechanisms, with performance stops at open-air stages along the roadside to showcase the highest level of skill, allowing the audience to fully appreciate the artistic message of each group. Simultaneously, the sound, lighting, and LED screen systems along the route connect directly to the main stage, creating a synchronized and powerfully spreading festive atmosphere.
