Discover European autumn in the heart of Quang Tri

In early December, the mountainous area in the west of Quang Tri province puts on a new, brilliant coat. The maple forests in Huong Phung commune simultaneously change their leaves from green to yellow, orange, and red, creating an impressive natural scene, attracting tourists and photographers to explore.

Lying on the side of the hydroelectric lake, the maple forest has a romantic beauty that makes many people compare it to being lost in the middle of a European autumn. The maple tree, also known as sau sau or bach giao huong, has a tall, straight trunk with a milky white bark, reminiscent of the birch forests in the West.

According to photographer Huy Vo, a member of the Vietnam Agricultural Tourism Cooperative - Khe Sanh, this is the time of year when the maple forest is at its most beautiful. This beauty only lasts for a short period of time, from December to the end of January of the following year.
