'Sa Pa of Thanh land' is hazy in the fog

Pu Luong (Pu Luong commune, Thanh Hoa province) has long been a famous tourist destination for its wild beauty and majestic mountains that create a giant landscape painting, captivating many domestic and foreign tourists. These days, Pu Luong is covered in thick fog, the natural scenery here is likened to "Sa Pa of Thanh land".

The only road through Pu Luong commune is hidden in the fog. Locals say that because it is located at an altitude of 1,700m, Pu Luong has a cool, fresh air and fog covering all four seasons. "In the summer, the fog and clouds are very beautiful, but in the winter, the fog is thick, covering from early morning until noon. Because of the scenery that is always hidden like that, tourists love to come here," said Ms. Hue (owner of a Homestay in Pu Luong commune).

The small road leading to the villages in Pu Luong appears vaguely, passing between terraced rice fields.

The hazy scenery makes visitors here very excited. "Every year I come to Pu Luong several times in the rice harvest season to watch the clouds and morning mist. Only here can I feel the fresh, gentle and peaceful air" said Mr. Thanh Tung (34 years old).

At around 10am, the thick fog gradually cleared, allowing locals to harvest rice on the terraced fields.

The peaceful scenery on every street and path makes everyone who sets foot there feel excited.

Pu Luong has the distinct beauty of the Northwest highlands with layer upon layer of terraced fields, overlapping clouds and mountains, bringing a mysterious, wild and captivating beauty.
