Ms. Luu Huynh Xuan Mai (a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City) couldn't hide her emotion upon her first visit. She shared: "I've been to many places to admire peach blossoms, even abroad, but the peach blossoms in Lung Cung have a very different charm. The flowers bloom naturally amidst the mountains and forests, largely untouched by human activity, giving a very pristine and peaceful feeling."

For photography enthusiasts, the peach blossom season in Lung Cung is an unmissable event. Pham Pa Ri, a teacher and photographer, says he makes time to visit Lung Cung every year to photograph the peach blossoms. “Each year brings a different feeling. Honestly, the peach blossoms here are so beautiful that I don’t know what words to use to fully describe the beauty of this Lung Cung peach blossom region.”

According to Mr. Chang A Co, head of Lung Cung village, peach blossoms have been closely associated with the lives of the local people for generations. "Every house in the village has peach trees, some with a few dozen, others with an entire hillside. The blooming of peach blossoms is a sign of spring, a sign of a prosperous new year, and everyone is happy," Mr. Co said, adding that in recent years, the number of visitors coming to admire the flowers has increased, contributing to promoting the image of the highland village.

Given the allure of the peach blossoms heralding spring, the local authorities are also orienting tourism development towards preserving the landscape.

Mr. Sung A Dinh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nam Co commune (Lao Cai province), said: "Lung Cung has great advantages in terms of natural landscape and peach blossoms. The commune encourages people to preserve and not cut down wild peach trees, while also guiding them in developing community tourism to promote sustainable economic development."
