New book summarizes 65 years of cultivating the loyal friendship between Vietnam and Cuba

On November 12, the Truth National Political Publishing House in collaboration with the Cuban Embassy in Vietnam launched the book "65 years of cultivating the loyal and exemplary Vietnam-Cuba friendship."

Over the past 65 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations (December 2, 1960 - December 2, 2025), the loyal and exemplary relationship between Vietnam and Cuba, founded by President Ho Chi Minh and leader Fidel Castro, has been diligently cultivated by generations of leaders and people of the two countries, overcoming all the ups and downs of history and remaining strong to this day.

The publication richly and vividly reflects the important historical milestones that have fostered the above-mentioned special, exemplary, and rare solidarity relationship, introducing many typical documents and images of the historic visits as well as exchanges between the two countries' leaders.

The book was compiled and published by the Truth National Political Publishing House in collaboration with the Cuban Embassy in Vietnam to enhance information and propaganda about the meaning, importance and development of the traditional solidarity and special friendship between Vietnam and Cuba. The two countries' senior leaders agreed to identify 2025 as the "Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Year."

The book has a capacity of more than 200 large pages, synthesizing many valuable sources of documents and images, including three main parts: "President Ho Chi Minh - President Fidel Castro: The one who laid the historical foundation for the Vietnam-Cuba relationship," "65 years of Vietnam-Cuba friendship, a special and exemplary solidarity relationship," and Imprints of historic visits by Vietnam-Cuba leaders.

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor - Doctor Vu Trong Lam, Director and Editor-in-Chief of the National Political Publishing House, affirmed that in the context of many changes in the world, the special and loyal friendship between the two countries is a solid foundation for Vietnam and Cuba to always stand side by side, continue to firmly build and protect socialism and socio-economic development in each country, contributing to the common efforts for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

The book contributes to enhancing information and propaganda about the meaning and importance of the traditional solidarity, special friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cuba; educating the young generation of the two countries to always cherish, preserve and further develop the special, exemplary and loyal relationship between the two peoples.

According to Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Vietnam Rogelio Polanco Fuentes, the book is an outstanding contribution to preserving historical memories and the special solidarity and friendship between the two peoples established by President Ho Chi Minh and Leader Fidel Castro and is a very meaningful initiative on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba.

Ambassador Rogelio Polanco Fuentes sent his congratulations to the Truth National Political Publishing House for launching the book on the occasion of the important anniversary, and expressed his deep gratitude to the Publishing House for its persistent and important contributions over the years through publishing publications on the history, country and people of Cuba and translating and publishing Vietnamese works into Spanish to introduce to Cuban readers./.
