Since the beginning of the year, Saigontourist has continuously welcomed many international MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourism groups, such as a group of 31 guests from the Ukraine-Vietnam Friendship Association and judges from Kyiv; a group of 40 guests from CIBA VISION (USA); a group of 60 guests from the Japanese Crown Prince; a group of 33 VIP guests from A&K (USA); an Air-Cruise group of 51 guests from Hapaq Lloyd (Germany); a group of 70 guests from Covidien Company, a subsidiary of Tyco Healthcare... The Saigontourist Mekong Delta Travel Center has also been put into operation in Can Tho City.
* Despite unfavorable weather conditions, in Quang Nam province, over 7,000 visitors came to My Son Sanctuary on April 30th and May 1st. In Hoi An, the overwhelming number of visitors caused major tourist attractions to become overloaded. Nearly 80 hotels of all types, with over 3,000 rooms, were fully booked. Ms. Dinh Thi Thu Thuy, Head of the Trade and Tourism Department of Hoi An, stated that of the more than 4,300 tourists who flocked to Hoi An, 2,700 were international visitors.
