Mohamed Salah's future at Liverpool is more uncertain than ever after the Egyptian striker suddenly made strong statements about his situation, in which he hinted that he may have played his last game for the club.

Salah continued to be on the bench in the 3-3 draw with Leeds United at Elland Road last night (December 6). This was the third consecutive match that the Egyptian striker was left out of the starting lineup of The Kop. Since joining Liverpool, Salah has never been on the bench for so long.
Immediately after the match, Salah proactively sought out the press and expressed his anger with a series of harsh words. He said: “I cannot imagine having to sit on the bench for 90 minutes. However, I have experienced three consecutive matches in that situation. I think this is the first time in my career that I have been treated like that.”
The 33-year-old said he felt unfairly treated: “I am very disappointed. I have given so much to this club over the years, especially last season. But now I feel like I have been thrown out. Someone wants to put all the responsibility on me. The club promised me a lot in the summer but now I am on the bench. They have not kept their word.”
Salah also revealed that his relationship with coach Arne Slot was almost broken: "I used to have a very good relationship with him. But now there is nothing left and I don't understand why. It seems that someone doesn't want me to stay at the club."

The Egyptian said he had called his parents to attend the upcoming match against Brighton, regardless of whether he would play or not. It was Salah's last match before returning to play for Egypt at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. The player hinted that it could be his last match in a Liverpool shirt.
The striker born in 1992 said: "I just want to enjoy the match and say goodbye to the fans before attending CAN 2025, because I don't know what will happen when I leave."
Salah insists he does not accept being labelled a “team problem”. The club’s number one star said: “If the player was elsewhere, he would be protected. Here, all the problems are on my head.
I don't think I'm the problem. I don't have to fight for my place every day because I've proven my worth. I'm not bigger than the club, but I deserve respect."
These statements make Salah's future at Liverpool more uncertain than ever, especially as the January transfer window approaches and wealthy teams in the Middle East continue to closely monitor his every move.
