"Normally, I find these sunbirds quite shy. However, when mating season arrives, they become bolder, with the males ready to fight other males to defend their territory and find mates... When they see themselves in the mirror, the birds mistake the reflection for a rival and fight fiercely," Quân shared about his photography experience.

The sunbird family, scientifically known as Nectariniidae, is a family within the order Passeriformes containing small birds. A total of 132 species in 15 genera are known. This family includes birds commonly known in Vietnamese as sunbirds or banana sunbirds. They are widely distributed throughout Africa, southern Asia, and northern Australia. Most sunbirds feed on nectar, although they also eat insects, especially when raising their young. Fruit is also part of the diet for some species. They fly quickly and upright using their short wings.
