According to the report of the Department of Finance, in the first quarter, Hai Duong 's output of fresh meat reached 50,730 tons, up 31.6% compared to the target. The total pig herd was 461,000, up 5.4% over the same period last year; the buffalo herd was 5,520, up 2.2% (1.8% higher than the plan); the cow herd was 14,300, up 1.1% (1.2%); the poultry herd was nearly 17.7 million, up 5.1% (0.28%).

The output of live cattle and poultry meat increased compared to the same period due to the stable livestock situation in Hai Duong, no epidemics, and good livestock development. Pig farming by enterprises, farms, and large-scale households has brought high economic efficiency. Farmers have proactively restored their herds according to the recommendations of the authorities, applied disease prevention measures for livestock and poultry, and applied bio-safety farming...

The output of livestock and poultry meat for sale in the quarter increased because this is the end of the year and Lunar New Year, so the demand for food for holidays, Tet, and festivals increases...
