The program was organized under the direction of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with the Culture Newspaper, to commemorate the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026).
"His Name Shines Forever," an 80-minute program broadcast live on VTV2 - Vietnam Television, carries profound political , ideological, and cultural significance, expressing the deep love and gratitude of the entire nation for President Ho Chi Minh - the great leader, national liberation hero, and outstanding world cultural figure.
Through emotionally rich artistic language, the program vividly portrays the image, life, and glorious revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh, while also honoring the enduring values of Ho Chi Minh Thought in today's era.

Programme The event brought together many renowned artists such as People's Artist Quoc Hung, Meritorious Artist Tan Nhan, Meritorious Artist Phuong Nga, Anh Tho, Quang Ha, Hoang Bach…; along with faces beloved by young audiences such as Nguyen Tran Trung Quan, Thu Hang, Duong Duc Hai, Thien Thanh group, Tinh Tu group…
According to the organizers, "His Name Shines Forever" is structured as a continuous emotional flow from the past to the present, portraying President Ho Chi Minh not only as a great leader but also as a cultural symbol and a guiding light for the nation. The program begins at Nha Rong Wharf and develops through various layers of content: his departure to find a way to save the country, his illuminating revolutionary ideals, and his influence in the nation-building efforts today.
The program is structured into three parts. Part I - The Seeker of the Nation's Image - recreates the journey of leaving to find a way to save the country, starting from the setting of his hometown, Lang Sen Village, encompassing maternal love and the moment of farewell. Representative performances include: From Lang Sen Village, Listening to Boat Songs at Night Remembering Uncle Ho, Footprints Ahead, and a theatrical reenactment of the young Nguyen Tat Thanh before leaving Nha Rong Wharf. The emotional intensity is heightened by the spirit of aspiration and momentum through "Aspiration" and "The Path We Take ," concluding Part I with a heroic tone.
Part II - The Guiding Light focuses on honoring the thoughts, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh and the revolutionary path. It begins with a narrative about the journey to finding the light of revolutionary truth; followed by a mashup performance of " The Party Flag" and "The Party is My Life ," a documentary titled "The Party Flag Made of Blood in Prison ," and a stage interaction with guest speaker Mr. Nguyen The Nghia, a former political prisoner of Phu Quoc Prison, along with mementos of the Party flag and portrait of Uncle Ho as symbols of unwavering faith. The profound atmosphere is further enhanced by "Uncle Ho's Last Words ," "The Song of Ho Chi Minh," and the documentary "Ho Chi Minh - An Endless Source of Inspiration ."
Part III - Vietnam cherishes the words of President Ho Chi Minh, affirming the achievements and pride of a developing Vietnam following the path he chose, spreading the spirit of optimism, integration, and progress. The featured performances included "What Could Be More Beautiful?" , "Loving the Vietnamese Smile", "A Shining Prosperous Vietnam" , and "The Nation Rises Up" , concluding the program with a message of continuing the aspirations, beliefs, and responsibilities of today's generations.
Alongside the musical performances, the program utilizes theatrical techniques, documentary elements, and interviews with witnesses, creating a multi-layered rhythm and emotional depth.
