Visitors should begin their exploration of the fish market around 3-4 a.m. While it's still dark, the beach is already bustling with the gleaming lights of flashlights and headlights, and the hurried sounds of people calling out to each other. Everyone is ready for an early morning market.
As dawn broke, painting the sky a rosy-orange hue, hundreds of boats lined up to dock. Some paddled small boats, others carried basins, and still others busily sorted the fresh seafood right on the fine sand.

The fish market is only open for about two hours. By over 6 a.m., the beach gradually returns to its peaceful state after the catches have been transported to various regions.
Visitors can choose from a fresh selection of seafood to enjoy right on the spot. Simply bring your fish and shrimp to the small huts along the beach, and the locals will help you prepare them into delicious dishes. Tam Tien seafood, from shrimp and crab to various types of fish, is renowned for its freshness, as it's served immediately after being caught.
Holding a plate of crispy shrimp pancakes or a bowl of sweet squid noodle soup in your hands, enjoying your meal while watching the waves gently lap against the shore, you'll feel the charm of life in a fishing village.

Nguyen Sanh Quoc Huy, a photographer from Hanoi , shared his thoughts on the changes in the area: "Returning to Tam Tien this time, I feel that the pristine beauty of the fish market is gradually disappearing due to the appearance of the new embankment right on the beach. I understand that the embankment can make the work of the fishermen easier and more convenient than before."
Today, the fishing village has several unique homestays and camping areas catering to visitors who come to stay overnight. Most of the homestays are renovated from the simple, moss-covered houses of the fishermen, nestled peacefully under the cool shade of coconut trees.
Visitors to Tam Tien should not miss the experience of paddleboarding to watch the sunrise or swimming in the clear blue sea water.

The people here are incredibly hospitable. They readily tell strangers stories about their travels or offer local delicacies at surprisingly low prices.
Tam Tien Fish Market is located 15km from the center of Tam Ky ward, and tourists can easily visit it by various means of transportation.
To get here from Tam Ky ward, tourists travel along DT614 road towards Tam Thanh beach, then continue along the coast for about 6-7km to reach Tam Tien fishing village.
For tourists from distant provinces, the most convenient way to explore is to fly to Chu Lai airport and take a taxi directly to Tam Tien fishing village.
