According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, around November 17, this cold air mass will affect the Northeast and North Central regions, then affect the Northwest and North Central regions. On land, strong Northeast winds will be at level 3-4, and coastal areas at level 4-5.

From November 17-18, there will be scattered rain in the Northern region.

From the night of November 17, the weather in the North and North Central regions will turn cold, with some areas in the high mountains of the North experiencing severe cold. The lowest temperature during this cold spell in the North and North Central regions will generally be between 12-15 degrees Celsius, and some places in the high mountains will be below 10 degrees Celsius.

Hanoi area from the night of November 17th, the weather will turn cold. The lowest temperature in this cold air mass is commonly 13-15 degrees Celsius.

Due to the influence of cold air combined with disturbances in the upper easterly wind zone, there is widespread heavy rain in the area from Ha Tinh to Khanh Hoa .

Specifically, on November 15, the area from Ha Tinh to Da Nang will have rain, showers and scattered thunderstorms with rainfall from 10-30mm, locally heavy rain over 50mm.

From the night of November 15 to November 16: The area from South Quang Tri to Da Nang, the eastern part of the provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa will have heavy to very heavy rain with common rainfall from 60-120mm, locally over 200mm; the area from Ha Tinh to North Quang Tri will have moderate to heavy rain with common rainfall from 40-70mm, locally over 150mm; the western part of the provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak will have rain, moderate rain with common rainfall from 20-40mm, locally over 100mm. Warning of the risk of heavy rain (over 150mm/3 hours).

From the night of November 16 to the end of the night of November 18, the Hue and Da Nang areas, the eastern part of Quang Ngai and Gia Lai provinces will have heavy to very heavy rain with rainfall ranging from 250-500mm, locally over 600mm; the Ha Tinh to Quang Tri area, the eastern part of Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa provinces will have 100-300mm, locally over 400mm; the western part of the provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak will have rainfall ranging from 50-100mm, locally over 150mm.

Total rainfall from the night of November 15 to the end of the night of November 18 in Hue, Da Nang, the East of Quang Ngai and Gia Lai is generally 300-600mm/period, locally over 800mm/period, in the area from Ha Tinh to Quang Tri, the East of Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa provinces is generally 150-350mm/period, locally over 500mm/period; in the West of Quang Ngai to Dak Lak provinces, rainfall is generally from 70-150mm/period.

From November 19, widespread heavy rain continued to occur in the Da Nang area and provinces from Quang Ngai to Khanh Hoa.

In addition, from November 16-18, the Southern region will have moderate rain and thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain with rainfall from 50-100mm, locally over 150mm. Flood warning on rivers from Quang Tri to Dak Lak

Currently, water levels on rivers from Quang Tri to Dak Lak fluctuate.

It is forecasted that from November 16 to 20, there is a possibility of a flood on rivers from Quang Tri to Dak Lak. During this flood, the flood peak on Bo River, Huong River (Hue City); Vu Gia-Thu Bon River ( Da Nang City); Tra Khuc River, Ve River, Se San River (Quang Ngai); Kon River, upper Ba River (Gia Lai); lower Ba River, Ky Lo River (Dak Lak) will reach alert level 2-3, some rivers will reach alert level 3; An Lao River, Kien Giang River, Thach Han River (Quang Tri), Lai Giang River (Gia Lai), Krong Ana River, Srepok River (Dak Lak) will reach alert level 1-2 and above alert level 2.

Therefore, there is a risk of flooding in low-lying areas along rivers, urban areas, and densely populated areas in provinces/cities from Quang Tri to Dak Lak. There is a high risk of flash floods on rivers and streams and landslides on slopes in provinces/cities from Quang Tri to Dak Lak. Flood risk warning level: Level 3.

In the Northwest region, there will be rain in some places at night and sunny during the day. At night and early morning, it will be cold, with some places being very cold. The lowest temperature is 14-17 degrees Celsius, with some places below 13 degrees Celsius; the highest temperature is 25-28 degrees Celsius, with some places above 28 degrees Celsius.

In the Northeast region, the sky is partly cloudy, no rain at night, sunny during the day. Northeast to North wind level 2-3. Cold at night and early morning; in high mountains, some places are very cold. The lowest temperature is 15-18 degrees Celsius, in mountainous areas, some places are below 14 degrees Celsius; the highest temperature is 25-28 degrees Celsius, some places are above 28 degrees Celsius.

From Thanh Hoa to Hue, there will be rain in some places at night; rain, showers and scattered thunderstorms during the day, with some heavy rain in some places. North to Northwest wind level 2-3. Cold at night and morning. Lowest temperature 17-20 degrees Celsius; highest temperature 24-27 degrees Celsius.

The South Central Coast has rain in some places; in the North, it rains during the day, with some places having heavy rain. Northeast to East wind level 2-3. Lowest temperature 21-24 degrees Celsius; highest temperature 27-30 degrees Celsius, some places over 30 degrees Celsius.

In the Central Highlands, there will be showers and thunderstorms in some places in the evening and at night, and sunny during the day. Northeast to East wind level 2-3. Lowest temperature 15-18 degrees Celsius, some places below 15 degrees Celsius; highest temperature 27-30 degrees Celsius.

In the South, there will be showers and thunderstorms in some places in the late afternoon and at night. Sunny during the day. Light wind. Lowest temperature 23–26 degrees Celsius; highest temperature 30–33 degrees Celsius.

Hanoi capital: no rain at night, sunny during the day. Northeast to North wind level 2-3. Cold at night and early morning. Lowest temperature from 16-18 degrees Celsius; highest temperature from 26-28 degrees Celsius.

Ho Chi Minh City has showers and thunderstorms in some places in the evening and at night, sunny during the day. Light wind. Lowest temperature 23-25 ​​degrees Celsius; highest temperature 30-32 degrees Celsius.
