The 2nd Sa Dec Flower and Ornamental Festival is coming soon

DONG THAP From December 27, 2025 to January 4, 2026, Dong Thap province will organize the 2nd Sa Dec Flower and Ornamental Festival with many diverse activities, expected to welcome 500,000 visitors.

According to the People's Committee of Dong Thap province, this is an event to honor Sa Dec's ornamental flower profession, promote economic value, promote the development of the flower and ornamental plant industry associated with agricultural tourism development and the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program.

Through programs, activities of display, exhibition, contest, culture, art, cuisine , entertainment..., the Festival aims to introduce and promote Sa Dec Flower Village to domestic and foreign tourists, contributing to promoting trade, tourism and investment, socio-economic development, and enhancing the local image.

This festival includes the following activities: Honoring the flower and ornamental planting profession in Sa Dec; Sa Dec flower space; space displaying 1,000 flower and ornamental varieties; dream space with the theme "Dream of blooming - Growing in the new era"; "Heritage land" space; hot air balloon activities; live show "Hundred years of flower village fragrance".

Exhibition area for domestic and international flowers and ornamental plants; Sa Dec flower and ornamental plant market; Exhibition space for displaying OCOP products and typical products of the Mekong Delta; "Southern fragrance" culinary street; Techmart workshop on applying technology to enhance the value chain of flower and ornamental products; Conference on connecting trade between flower and ornamental plant industry.

There are also response activities such as: The 2nd contest of flower gates, flower streets, flower gardens, and beautiful offices; Artistic news photography contest and exhibition of winning photos of the contest; Exhibition of photo series with the theme: Sa Dec - from Dong Khau Dao to the flower capital of the West and "Learning City"; Journey of connecting flowers and ornamental plants from Sa Dec to My Phong.

Recently, the People's Committee of Dong Thap province also issued a plan to promote communication and advertising of Sa Dec's traditional flower and ornamental plant growing industry in association with the development of eco- tourism and experiential tourism.

Along with that, widely introduce the image, typical products, culture - cuisine, folk dishes of Dong Thap, attract domestic and foreign tourists and investors. At the same time, build local brand, promote the development of Sa Dec flower - ornamental industry, contribute to the socio-economic growth of the province.
