It is expected that 245 projects and works with a total investment of 1,345,415 billion VND will be eligible to start construction and inaugurate on December 19 to celebrate the Party Congress.

On the morning of December 9, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha - Deputy Head of the State Steering Committee for important national projects and works, key to the transport sector (Steering Committee) chaired the 22nd meeting of the Steering Committee, connecting online to bridge points in provinces and cities across the country.

Reporting at the meeting, Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh said that by December 19, the whole country is expected to complete and open to traffic 3,513 km (main expressway route 3,188 km, intersections and access roads 325 km).

In addition, in 2025, localities will complete 251 km of coastal roads, bringing the total length of coastal roads put into operation to about 1,701 km.

Regarding the preparation for the groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies of large-scale, meaningful projects to celebrate the 14th National Party Congress, on December 19, the Ministry of Construction compiled 245 projects and works in 34 provinces/cities that are eligible for groundbreaking and inauguration (of which 155 projects and works were commenced; 90 projects were inaugurated).

" The total investment of the projects/works is 1,345,415 billion VND. The Ministry of Construction proposed 79 online and live TV broadcasting points at large-scale, meaningful projects and works, connecting with other projects and works in ministries, branches, provinces, cities... The central point is at Long Thanh International Airport ", Mr. Tran Hong Minh stated.

The Ministry of Construction continues to preside over and coordinate with the Government Office , relevant ministries, branches and localities to review the list of projects and works to ensure the scale and conditions for organizing inauguration and groundbreaking according to regulations; develop central reports and speeches by Government leaders; coordinate with VTV to develop programs, scenarios and plans to connect bridges and report to the Prime Minister before December 12.

At the meeting, leaders of Tuyen Quang, Quang Tri, Dak Lak, Dong Thap, Quang Ngai, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, Dong Nai provinces reported on measures to accelerate site clearance (not yet completed according to the Prime Minister's direction) focusing mainly on newly-arrived areas, service roads and relocation of technical infrastructure at the Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang, Van Ninh - Cam Lo, Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot, Cao Lanh - An Huu expressway projects; site handover of rest stop projects on the Eastern North - South expressway has not been completed.
