Located on the Ring Road 3, a vital transportation artery of Hanoi , the project is identified as one of the key links in the strategy to restructure the interprovincial passenger transport network. Once operational, the bus station will help alleviate traffic congestion at Giap Bat and Nuoc Ngam bus stations, two hubs that have been overloaded for many years.
Construction began in early Q2/2025, and after nearly a year of work, the building's structure is now largely complete. Hundreds of workers are divided into multiple teams, focusing on finishing the final items such as technical systems, glass installation, landscaping, and other auxiliary facilities. Progress is being accelerated to ensure the project is operational as planned.

In terms of scale, the bus station has a construction area of over 3,400 m², with a total floor area of over 14,500 m². The architectural highlight is the central circular building with an area of approximately 2,000 m², covered with a glass system, creating an open space and maximizing the use of natural light. Inside, the first floor houses the ticket sales area combined with services, while the second floor is a food court serving passengers.
Notably, the building boasts a spacious basement spanning nearly 5,000 m², with a height of approximately 19.2m, used as a parking lot – a design different from many traditional bus stations today. This is expected to optimize space and improve operational efficiency.

According to the design, the bus station has a maximum capacity of 800 to 1,000 vehicles per day. In the initial operation phase, the expected traffic volume is approximately 400 vehicles/day and will gradually increase according to actual demand. When operational, the bus station will handle a portion of interprovincial routes, especially those going south, significantly reducing pressure on the gateway area.
