According to the railway industry, by the morning of November 24, construction forces had recorded 61 landslides on the railway line; 46 points had been handled to clear the road, while 15 points - mainly in the Dong Tac - Phu Hiep and Phu Hiep - Hao Son sections - were still being focused on being fixed under extremely difficult construction conditions.
Notably, the Km1205 - Km1207 section has completely washed away the foundation along a length of 2 km; the Km1211 - Km1215 section has the road centerline shifted by 4 m. If the weather is favorable, the railway industry plans to temporarily repair the road to ensure trains can run at a speed of 5 km/h from November 25 - 26.
On the Dieu Tri - Quy Nhon route, many locations such as Km2+800 - Km4+200 or Km01+877 were eroded and had their foundations washed away, requiring the entire section to be blocked for repairs.
In parallel with overcoming the consequences caused by floods and major infrastructure damage, the railway industry has stopped running 44 passenger trains, refunded more than 21,000 tickets, organized free transportation through the Tuy Hoa - Gia section and served nearly 15,500 free meals to passengers stuck on trains when roads were also blocked.
Not only railways, the report of the Ministry of Construction shows that heavy rains and floods caused hundreds of landslides on national highways. As of 7am today, there were still 15 traffic jams on three national highways managed by local authorities.
In Khanh Hoa , National Highway 27C still has 12 locations of congestion, including some negative slope landslides and many positive slope landslides. Notably, at Km44+410, the locality has requested Military Region 5 to support blasting to clear the obstacles, and it is expected that by 6:00 p.m. on November 25, 1 lane will be open to traffic. Khanh Hoa Department of Construction has banned vehicles from going up Khanh Le Pass and organized traffic flow in the direction of National Highway 1 - National Highway 27 or National Highway 26.

In Lam Dong, Highway 27C has a landslide location and is expected to open to traffic on November 25; while Highway 20 has two congestion points at Mimosa Pass and D'ran Pass, with the target to open to traffic on November 25 and November 30, respectively. Highway 20 - Highway 27 - Provincial Road 725 are being used for temporary traffic diversion.
The Vietnam Road Administration has sent working groups to be on duty 24/7 at the scene, mobilizing forces, machinery and supporting 5,000 rock cages for Lam Dong to reinforce complex landslide locations.
