Many gifts sent to people
On the morning of November 1, Senior Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung, member of the Party Central Committee , Deputy Minister of Public Security, together with leaders of Hue City Police and leaders of the Hue City People's Committee Office visited, encouraged, shared and gave gifts to people affected by floods in Phong Dinh ward.
The Deputy Minister of Public Security acknowledged the efforts of local Party committees and authorities in flood prevention and control and requested that local Party committees and authorities promptly support people to restore production and stabilize their housing and livelihoods.
The delegation presented 400 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, to households severely affected by floods and households in difficult circumstances in Phong Dinh ward.

In Phu Loc commune, on the morning of November 1, the local government coordinated with organizations, units and philanthropists to organize gift giving to people affected by recent floods, with a total value of 170 million VND, contributing to helping people overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives after the natural disaster.
In the program, the People's Committee of Phu Loc commune together with organizations, units and kind-hearted individuals presented 100 gifts, each worth 1 million VND in cash, to households in 21 villages in the commune. These are meaningful gifts, sent directly to households that suffered heavy damage to property, houses and livelihoods after the flood. The funding was contributed by organizations and benefactors in Ho Chi Minh City, demonstrating the spirit of "helping each other", towards the Central region, joining hands with local Party committees and authorities to care for and help people soon stabilize their lives.
In addition, Vinh Hien Border Guard Station coordinated with Phu Loc Commune People's Committee to present 60 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, including instant noodles, mineral water and milk, to support people in Hoa Mau, Le Thai Thien, Dong Luu, Village 5 and Cao Doi villages to overcome difficulties after the flood. The gift source was taken from the national reserve fund.
In addition, nun Trung Thanh (Cam Lo pagoda) and nun Hien Thao (Phuoc Son pagoda) also coordinated with the People's Committee of Phu Loc commune to give 200 gifts, each worth 200,000 VND, including life jackets and instant noodles, to people in villages 4, 5 and 8, contributing to encouraging the spirit and supporting people in low-lying areas to proactively respond to and overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

This is the time when Mr. Tran Van Hau's family is suffering the utmost pain of losing their beloved son in the flood. In the face of this irreparable loss, the Director of the Social Policy Bank of Huong Tra Branch, on behalf of the Social Policy Bank of Hue City Branch, personally came to burn incense to express condolences and presented a gift of 2 million VND to support the family to overcome the mental shock and stabilize their lives.
This timely visit and support not only has material significance but is also a source of spiritual encouragement, demonstrating the deep concern of the staff and employees of the Social Policy Bank of Hue City in general and the Social Policy Bank of Huong Tra Transaction Office in particular for the unfortunate circumstances caused by natural disasters.

Along with the hearts of agencies, organizations and units sent to people in localities, on the morning of November 1, at the Hall of the Training Center of Hue Central Hospital, the Heart Start-up Fund of Kim Oanh Group coordinated with the Hospital's Women Intellectuals Association and the Department of Social Work - Customer Care to organize a gift-giving program for patients in difficult circumstances who are being treated at the hospital.

Of which, 300 gifts, each worth 700,000 VND in cash and 20kg of rice, were given to poor, near-poor and extremely disadvantaged households; the remaining households were supported with 150,000 VND in cash and essential necessities such as cakes, milk, drinking water, sugar, etc. The gifts were mobilized from Kim Oanh Group, the Ministry of Public Security and central allocation sources.
On the same day, in Hoa Chau ward, local authorities also directly visited and handed out relief gifts to households severely affected by flooding. Households still isolated in deep flooded areas were supported by the Neighborhood Group to deliver relief gifts to their homes, ensuring "no one is left behind".
Accordingly, organizations and volunteer groups have supported Hoa Chau with many practical gifts with a total value of hundreds of millions of VND, including cash, rice, food, drinks and household items. Specifically, the units have presented 200 cash gifts with a total value of more than 77.5 million VND from the Lotus Fund, Thai Nguyen Delegation and benefactors; 7.5 tons of rice supported by Hue city and Bac Giang Delegation; 850 boxes of cakes, 128 boxes of dry food, 1,120 boxes of drinks and 85 boxes of rice cakes from Bac Ninh Delegation; 650 boxes of instant noodles, 50 life jackets and 12 sets of cooking pots from Gia Lai Delegation; 500 welfare bags donated by Dan Tri Newspaper. Relief shipments are continuously transported to the locality, helping people have more food, drinks and household items during the flood recovery period.
Cleaning up after the flood
On November 1, many localities in Hue city, with the support and coordination of military forces, police, youth union members... mobilized forces and means to help people overcome damage and clean up the environment after the water receded.

In Phong Thai Ward, from the afternoon of October 31 to November 1, more than 100 officers and soldiers of Division 968 (Military Region 4) coordinated with officers and employees of the Ward People's Committee, militia and self-defense forces and the political system of residential groups to clean up the environment and help people overcome the consequences of floods.
Due to the impact of the recent heavy rains, many roads, residential areas, schools and markets in Phong Thai ward were covered with mud and garbage, seriously affecting daily life and traffic. With the spirit of "serving the people", "cleaning up as the floodwaters recede", the soldiers did not mind the hardship, immersing themselves in mud to collect garbage, dredge mud, clear sewers, clean tables and chairs, schoolyards and classrooms, helping educational facilities to soon return to normal.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Quyet, Deputy Chief of Staff of Division 968, said: “In the immediate future, we will focus on supporting public places such as schools, medical stations, markets, etc. to quickly bring people's lives back to normal. The force is divided into 3 groups, working to complete each task, with the highest determination to overcome the consequences as quickly as possible.”
The activities of officers and soldiers of Division 968 demonstrate the spirit of military-civilian solidarity, contributing to spreading the beautiful image of "Uncle Ho's Soldiers" in the hearts of local people.

In Kim Long ward, the Party Committee, the government, organizations and people have simultaneously launched a campaign to clean up the environment after the recent historic flood. The participating forces collected garbage and dredged mud on Pham Thi Lien street, main roads and Kim Long communal house area, contributing to restoring the landscape and ensuring smooth traffic.
Along with that, Kim Long Ward Health Station has organized disinfection and sterilization campaigns at agencies, schools, markets and residential areas to proactively prevent epidemics and protect people's health. The activities were implemented synchronously and promptly, helping the environment quickly return to a clean and safe state after the flood.
Kim Long Ward People's Committee calls on people to actively clean their houses and alleys, cooperate with functional forces in environmental cleaning, disease prevention, and soon stabilize life and normal activities.
