Shopee deploys technology solutions to promote e-commerce

According to the report “Shopee for One: Building Resilience with Technology”, shoppers in Southeast Asia saved US$1.7 billion on goods and essentials through monthly shopping campaigns organized by Shopee in collaboration with sellers and brands. The rate of business and consumer access to e-commerce increased, with 85% of new users coming from areas outside the capital and major cities.

Shopee in 2022 has implemented many support activities for sellers and users.

Shopee also supported local sellers from 200 locations across the region to start their online business journey. In addition, community programs organized by Shopee and its partners throughout 2022 reached 600,000 participants, demonstrating the scale of support for local communities.

In Vietnam, Shopee continuously cooperates with brands and sellers to bring users many incentives, helping them save more when spending. Throughout the shopping campaign series from 9.9, 11.11 to 12.12 in 2022, users saved up to 350 billion VND when shopping at Shopee.

The rapid growth of the digital economy in Southeast Asia has seen an increase in the number of users adopting technology in their daily lives. In addition to saving costs and improving business resilience for businesses, many users have made their first online purchases on Shopee in 2022.

According to statistics, millions of users have made their first ShopeePay transactions in 2022. In addition, in Vietnam, ShopeePay actively cooperates with regulatory agencies to increase the accessibility of digital payments. Through participation in industry events such as the "Cashless Day" in Hanoi , ShopeePay reached more than 2,000 attendees and provided guidance on how to set up an e-wallet, link a bank account, and access many other digital services including ShopeeFood.

In addition, Shopee regularly provides training programs to support sellers through Shopee Academy - Shopee Uni, Shopee Captain program - Shopee Captain. Through these programs, sellers can receive many sources of support from the community to easily start, grow and successfully do business on the online platform with Shopee.
