On April 29th, the inspection team worked at three vaccination facilities in the An Xuyen, Tan Thanh, and Ly Van Lam wards.
The delegation was led by Mr. Vuong Huu Tien, Deputy Director of the Department of Health ; also participating were representatives from the Professional Affairs Department of the Department of Health , the Provincial Center for Disease Control (CDC), the Market Management Sub-department, and local authorities.
The inspection team checked the vaccine storage conditions at a vaccination facility in Ly Van Lam Ward on the afternoon of April 29.
According to the Department of Health, the province has recently recorded two cases of meningococcal meningitis, including one death. Taking advantage of this situation, some vaccination centers are engaging in excessive advertising, using images of the health sector and misleading information to attract people to get vaccinated.
Based on that situation, on April 16th, the Department of Health issued a document requesting facilities to rectify their advertising and vaccination counseling activities; and affirmed that providing inaccurate information negatively impacts disease prevention and control efforts.
The inspection aims to ensure that 100% of vaccination facilities have complete records and comply with reporting and archiving regulations.
In addition, the Department of Health will conduct an inspection focusing on the following aspects: legal conditions; facilities, vaccine management, vaccination procedures, management of post-vaccination reactions; record-keeping and reporting; and customer counseling. The inspection will be carried out from April to June 2026.
The Ca Mau Department of Health is conducting inspections of all vaccination service facilities to detect and promptly correct any violations or shortcomings (if any) in vaccination activities, ensuring vaccination safety.
The Department of Health requires inspection teams to strictly adhere to reporting procedures and submit consolidated results to the Professional Affairs Department no later than 5 working days after the completion of the inspection.
People receive vaccinations at a vaccination service facility in Bac Lieu ward on April 30th.
According to the plan, each vaccination service facility will be inspected at least once a year, and unannounced inspections will be conducted when there are signs of violations.
Increased inspections aim to improve management efficiency, ensure that vaccination facilities operate in accordance with the law, and that people have access to safe vaccination services.
