During his working visit to Singapore, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh met with Singapore's Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
Immediately after the meeting, Mr. Lee Hsien Loong posted on his personal Facebook page: "Today I had a very good exchange with Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh on the excellent and effective bilateral cooperation between Singapore and Vietnam."
Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh is currently in charge of Vietnam's IFC and is visiting Singapore to learn from our experience in developing the financial sector. Vietnam officially launched the IFC in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang in December 2025.
I shared with Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh Singapore's experience in building and developing its financial sector. As a close friend of Vietnam, Singapore is ready to support Vietnam in every way possible. I am confident that Vietnam will succeed in building an attractive and highly feasible International Finance Corporation (IFC)."

Earlier, during a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh and Singapore's Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong on January 13th in Singapore, Mr. Lee Hsien Loong expressed his pleasure at the positive and substantive developments in bilateral relations in recent times.
In particular, the development of 21 VSIPs in 14 provinces/cities and the desire of senior leaders from both sides to reach the milestone of 30 VSIPs by 2030 are noteworthy.
Regarding financial cooperation, Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong congratulated Vietnam on the recent establishment of IFC, which demonstrates Vietnam's vision and determination for development in the new era.
The senior minister shared Singapore's experiences in developing international financial centers, as well as strategic recommendations for Vietnam in developing and operating the IFC; affirming that the Singaporean government is ready to exchange information, support Vietnam, and promote connectivity between the IFC Vietnam and Singapore.
