The MV was released on November 10 on digital platforms, bringing the image of bright youth and school life with the familiar melody of musician Hua Kim Tuyen, but performed entirely with traditional instruments: Dan Bau, Dan Ty Ba, Dan Nguyet, Dan Nhi, Dan Tranh, Sao Truc and Drum. These are 7 musical instruments currently taught in the main curriculum atFPT University.
Before starting the project, the group of students proactively sent a letter asking for permission from musician Hua Kim Tuyen. The musician and his team expressed their support when they learned that the project was carried out with the purpose of showing gratitude to teachers and honoring traditional Vietnamese music .
“The members of our group are not majoring in music, but we have studied Traditional Musical Instruments in our regular curriculum. From there, we have developed a love for it, practiced more to be able to play it well and made this MV as a meaningful tribute to our teachers on November 20th,” said Nguyen Phuoc Hoai An, representative of the student group participating in the MV.
Although not art students, the group still took on all the performance, recording and filming at FPT University Hanoi . Footage of the schoolyard, classrooms, friendships and pure white shirts combined with the rustic sounds of traditional instruments created a musical picture that was both clear and nostalgic.
Nguyen Phuoc Hoai An said that at FPT University, they also participate in the Traditional Musical Instrument Club, where they practice and share their love for traditional musical instruments and intangible cultural values. It is that love that motivates them to make the MV "The Green Seed Sower", both as a way to express gratitude to teachers and as a way to tell the story of national culture in modern life.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thu Thuy - Head of the Traditional Music Department of FPT University, the MV cover of the song "Nguoi sow green seeds" is the result of the serious training and passion of FPT University students: "You not only study to know, but also find ways to apply and spread Vietnamese cultural values in a very unique way of the creative, confident and emotional Gen Z generation".
The final scene of the MV, when the group of students play together in a warm teacher-student atmosphere, leaves many emotions for viewers. Many young audiences said they were “surprised and moved” when traditional music was performed in a new, familiar way while still maintaining the Vietnamese spirit.
Previously, FPT University students had many activities to spread traditional music such as: the project to bring traditional musical instruments to high schools, the Traditional Musical Instrument Competition, or the MV "Thien Am" - a product recognized by the Vietnam Record Organization as "MV of traditional musical instrument ensemble with the largest number of performers in Vietnam" (1,350 students, established on August 24, 2023).
The MV “Nguoi sows green seeds” is therefore not only a product of gratitude, but also demonstrates the efforts of FPT students in preserving and renewing traditional Vietnamese culture, affirming the spirit of “not professional but dare to play” of the young generation – dare to try, dare to create and know how to show gratitude with the values of national culture.
