Highlights Jannik Sinner vs Daniil Medvedev (source: Tennis TV)
Jannik Sinner continued his impressive form at the Rome Open after a thrilling victory over Daniil Medvedev in the semi-finals. The world number one defeated the Russian opponent 6-2, 5-7, 6-4 to secure his place in the final.
The match had to be temporarily suspended when Sinner was leading 6-2, 5-7, 4-2 in the deciding set due to heavy rain in Rome. After more than an hour of waiting, the organizers decided to postpone the remainder of the match to May 16th.

Earlier, Sinner got off to a strong start, winning the first four games and quickly closing out the first set in just 33 minutes. However, Medvedev rallied in the second set, winning the first three games and causing the Italian player considerable difficulty. Sinner even showed signs of fatigue, having to rest his racket several times between points before losing the second set.
In the third set, Medvedev made two consecutive double faults and allowed Sinner to break his serve in the third game. After returning from the break due to the rain, Sinner maintained consistency in his service games, giving his opponent no chance to turn the tide.
A 6-4 victory in the deciding set propelled Sinner into the Rome Open final, where he will face Casper Ruud at 10 PM on May 17th.
