Jannik Sinner continued his dominant form by defeating Cameron Norrie 6-2, 7-5 in the fourth round of the 2026 Madrid Open, securing his place in the quarterfinals.
The match took place on the Manolo Santana court at an unusual morning time, but the Italian player maintained high concentration and needed only 87 minutes to finish the contest.

In the first set, Jannik Sinner gave his opponent almost no chance. He completely controlled the match with powerful groundstrokes and a consistent serve, not facing a single break point before winning quickly 6-2.
In the second set, Norrie played more aggressively and capitalized on a rare mistake by Sinner to reclaim the break. However, at a crucial moment when the score was 5-5, the British player made a disastrous double fault, allowing Sinner to pull ahead and close out the match with a 7-5 victory.
This victory extended Sinner's winning streak on the ATP Tour to 20 matches, and also broadened his unbeaten run at Masters 1000 tournaments to 25. Notably, he became only the second player in history to win all 20 of his first matches of the year in the Masters 1000 series, after Novak Djokovic in 2011 and 2015.
Sinner's excellent form is helping him move closer to his goal of winning his fifth consecutive Masters 1000 title.
