Accordingly, on November 23, the Principal of Hon Dat High School received a report from a teacher that a former student had sent him a clip of school violence because he suspected that he was a student of the school. The school quickly contacted the student and the parent of the student named in the clip. However, the student and the parent confirmed that they were not involved. By the afternoon of the same day, the homeroom teacher discovered the identity of the student who had been abused.

According to a report from Hon Dat High School, the student who was abused was VXH, a student in class 10A8. On November 22, two students, D.NQH and D.NQD, students in class 10A9 from Hon Dat High School, and several other students blocked the car and beat H on Highway 80.

Then, H and D held knives that were ready to be held against him, forcing H to drive onto a deserted road to beat him. There, H and D used helmets and hands to beat H. Then, D filmed the clip while putting a sanitary napkin in H's mouth.

After learning about the incident, the Principal of Hon Dat High School reported directly to the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hon Dat Commune for coordination in handling. The Commune Police worked with the relevant subjects. The school still allowed students to go to school as usual, waiting for the results of the handling from the Commune Police to proceed with the next steps.

The leaders of the Department of Education and Training of An Giang province directed the leaders of Hon Dat High School to continue to closely coordinate with the Commune Police and local authorities in handling the above incident; at the same time, draw lessons for the school leaders in reporting and handling issues related to school violence.

The Department of Education and Training of An Giang province requested the People's Committee of Hon Dat commune to direct relevant agencies and units, within their authority, to verify and handle the case in accordance with the provisions of law. The People's Committee of the commune continues to pay attention to directing the implementation of measures to secure personal information and case information related to students in accordance with regulations, in order to ensure the legitimate rights and interests and create conditions for students to study and practice stably.
