The Da Nang Department of Science and Technology and Dong A University are collaborating on scientific research and digital transformation.

DNO - On the morning of January 16th, Dong A University held a signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement with the Da Nang Department of Science and Technology on scientific research, technology transfer, innovation, and digital transformation for the period 2026-2030.

During the period 2026-2030, both sides will continue to expand cooperation in scientific research, application, development and transfer of technology, innovation; development of high technology, strategic technology and scientific and technological potential.

In particular, the two sides will cooperate in developing the East Asia Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center, aiming to support the commercialization of intellectual property, technology transfer, project development, and innovative startup businesses; and to establish shared laboratories for research and development.

Simultaneously, implement training and coaching activities for lecturers and mentors in innovative entrepreneurship, innovative student startup projects, and competitions and incubation programs for potential projects.

During the period 2020-2025, the Da Nang City Department of Science and Technology and Dong A University maintained close and effective cooperation in the field of science and technology. Dong A University participated in the implementation of 3 city-level science and technology projects, including 2 projects that have been completed and 1 project currently underway, with a total budget of 4.8 billion VND.

Speaking at the event, Director of the Department of Science and Technology Nguyen Thanh Hong emphasized that the signing of the cooperation agreement will continue to support and further promote scientific research, innovation, and digital transformation in the city in accordance with Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in the development of national science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.

On this occasion, the 12th Dong A University Student Scientific Research Competition, for the academic year 2025-2026, also officially launched.

The competition brought together 124 projects from 378 students across 14 faculties and departments. The final round is scheduled to take place in May 2026, with outstanding scientific research projects judged by four panels: Health and Life Sciences, Socio- Economics , Linguistics, and Engineering Sciences.
