
Department of Science and Technology visits families who suffered heavy losses due to floods in M'lieng twinned village
M'lieng village is about 12 km from the center of Dak Lieng commune, its geographical location borders Lak Lake and Lien Son Lak commune to the Northeast, Krong Ana river and Krong village of Dur Kmal commune to the Northwest, and Hoa Binh village to the South. The village has 240 households with 1,135 people, including 03 ethnic groups living together, of which the M'nong ethnic group has 155 households with 718 people, accounting for 65%; the Tay ethnic group has 66 households with 334 people, accounting for 27.5%; the Kinh ethnic group has 19 households with 83 people, accounting for 7.5%.

Talking to the delegation, Mr. Y Poan Bkrong - Secretary of the M'lieng Village Party Cell said: During the recent flood, M'lieng Village, Dak Lieng Commune had 100 houses flooded, of which 03 houses completely collapsed, 03 houses were severely damaged. During the recent flood, there were more than 10 relief groups during and after the flood, including local authorities, provincial police, commune police, and benefactors inside and outside the commune.


The delegation visited and encouraged families whose houses collapsed and were severely damaged, and gave each family a cash gift worth 2,000,000 VND/household to share the difficulties and help the families soon stabilize their lives and return to work and production.
