Department of Agriculture and Environment works with the Fund for Environmental Protection, Forest Development and Disaster Prevention and Control

On November 14, 2025, at the Department of Agriculture and Environment Hall, Mr. Ho Trong Phuong, Director of the Department chaired a meeting with the Fund for Environmental Protection, Forest Development and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, along with leaders of the Management Boards of Protective and Special-Use Forests; Forestry One Member Co., Ltd. and related units. The meeting aimed to assess the implementation of the work program in the first 10 months of 2025 and deploy key tasks for the last 2 months of the year.

On November 14, 2025, at the Hall of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, comrade Ho Trong Phuong , Director of the Department chaired a working session with the Fund for Environmental Protection, Forest Development and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, along with leaders of the Management Boards of protective and special-use forests; Forestry One Member Co., Ltd. and related units. The meeting aimed to assess the implementation of the work program in the first 10 months of 2025 and deploy key tasks for the last 2 months of the year.

The Fund also said that it has received full funding for replanting the Upper Kon Tum hydropower forest and will continue to support the planting of scattered trees in 2025 according to the Provincial People's Committee's Decision. In addition, many accumulated revenues and expenditures over the years have been reviewed and updated in accordance with the state management requirements of the industry.

However, through synthesizing opinions of forest owners, there are still some difficulties and problems that need to be resolved soon, such as: determining the overlapping area of ​​111.29 hectares between management units; progress of handover, monitoring the amount of environmental restoration deposit in the old Kon Tum area; handling the source of DVMTR money that cannot identify the remaining recipients. Some contents have been assigned by the Department since October 2025 but have not yet been completed as required.

Concluding the meeting, the Director of the Department acknowledged the efforts of the Fund and forest owners in the context of many difficulties, and at the same time requested the entire system to seriously implement the assigned tasks, ensuring progress, quality and full compliance with regulations. He emphasized the importance of forestry financial resources in forest management, protection and development, especially in the context that the industry is shifting to a new management model after the administrative unit arrangement.
