Concluding the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang requested ministries, branches and localities to continue to effectively implement Directive No. 23 of the Party Central Committee Secretariat; Resolution No. 48 of the Government; Directive No. 10 of the Prime Minister; Directive No. 31 of the Prime Minister and Plan No. 689 of the National Traffic Safety Committee; at the same time, prepare to well implement the Road Law and the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety recently passed by the National Assembly; in order to achieve the goal set by the Party, National Assembly and Government, which is to continue to control and reduce traffic accidents in all three criteria of number of cases, number of deaths and number of injuries in 2024.
In particular, it is necessary to continue to focus on inspecting and handling violations of regulations on alcohol and drug concentrations when driving; transporting goods exceeding the prescribed weight of vehicles and bridges and roads; people not wearing seat belts when sitting in cars; violating regulations on wearing helmets when sitting on motorbikes, scooters, electric bicycles; using phones while driving; handling the responsibility of people who hand over motorbikes and cars to children to drive when they are underage.
