On the evening of November 12, at the Provincial Cultural Center, the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City coordinated with the People's Committee of Dak Lak province and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations to organize the Parikrama Rock Music Night - India.

Attending the music night was Mr. Mahesh Chand Giri, Indian Consul in Ho Chi Minh City.

On the Dak Lak side, there were Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Tran Hong Tien; representatives of relevant departments, branches and sectors of the province and more than 500 youth union members and students from Vietnam and India studying in Dak Lak province.

Founded in 1991, Parikrama consists of 12 members, known as one of the oldest and most famous rock bands in India with a classic rock style combined with traditional instruments. The group has performed more than 3,500 performances worldwide , at many prestigious stages such as the Kennedy Center, Download Festival, Brixton Academy London.

During the 60-minute performance, the band Parikrama brought outstanding songs from their career along with legendary covers such as: Hotel California, Queen, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple...

The songs feature a mix of various traditional Indian instruments.

The combination of vibrant, powerful rock rhythms and the distinctive tones of traditional Indian instruments such as sitar, tabla, bamboo flute and Hindustani violin, creates an explosive, emotional night of music, imbued with the spirit of cultural connection.

Speaking at the program, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Tran Hong Tien emphasized that the music night is not only a special art exchange activity but also an opportunity for the people of Dak Lak to enjoy modern rock music, a unique combination of classical instruments and contemporary spirit, thereby enhancing mutual understanding and strengthening the friendship between the people of Vietnam and India.

He also believes that the program will be a meaningful cultural bridge, contributing to promoting the culture and image of friendly, civilized, hospitable Dak Lak people and Indian culture; at the same time opening up sustainable cooperation opportunities between Dak Lak province and Indian partners and friends in the coming time.
