In early February 2026, Song Kon commune organized delegations to visit and present gifts to people with meritorious services and relatives of martyrs, and to pay respects to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and Heroes of the People's Armed Forces...
According to Mr. Do Huu Tung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Song Kon commune, the commune's delegations visited and presented gifts to 88 people with meritorious service and relatives of martyrs with special circumstances; 11 exemplary people with meritorious service; 11 influential people; 77 social welfare beneficiaries; and 66 children with particularly difficult circumstances.
The delegation paid their respects to the five Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and Heroes of the People's Armed Forces.
"We propose supporting the purchase of over 10 tons of rice to distribute to 167 households/677 people at risk of food shortages during Tet. We will focus on organizing festive activities to ensure all children have a joyful and warm Tet celebration," Mr. Tung said.
In an effort to show gratitude and appreciation to those who have contributed to the nation, starting from February 2nd, Dai Loc commune has assigned 5 working groups to visit and present Tet gifts to 33 villages.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhang, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dai Loc commune, in addition to gifts from the President and the People's Committee of Da Nang city, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune also presented 66 gifts to war veterans and relatives of martyrs in difficult circumstances.
Notably, the leaders of Dai Loc commune visited the homes of families to offer condolences, encouragement, and gratitude for the great sacrifices and contributions of the heroic martyrs, wounded soldiers, and those who rendered meritorious service to the revolution for national independence.
To ensure that all segments of the population can celebrate the traditional Lunar New Year in a joyful and warm atmosphere, Xuan Phu commune has promptly and fully implemented social assistance policies and preferential treatment for people with meritorious services, ensuring they are targeted correctly and in accordance with regulations.
Local authorities also organize and coordinate visits and gift-giving during Tet (Lunar New Year) to poor households, near-poor households, disadvantaged workers, children, and those receiving social welfare benefits.

In order to provide timely guidance and quickly grasp the living conditions of the people, Xuan Phu commune assigned 27 leading officials, civil servants, and employees to be stationed in all 27 villages in the area.
With a proactive spirit, young people in communes and wards throughout the city have also organized many activities to express gratitude to families of policy beneficiaries, meritorious individuals, and vulnerable groups in the community, ensuring they have a warm and joyful Tet holiday.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ngan, Secretary of the Hoa Xuan Ward Youth Union, shared that the unit visited and presented gifts to express gratitude to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; and brought meaningful Tet gifts to disadvantaged and vulnerable young people.
The ward's Youth Union also recently visited and donated 1,000 notebooks to the Nam Tra My commune's Youth Union (a sister unit) to distribute to schools in the area during Tet; and provided support to a young ethnic minority man to start his own business with a total of 12 million VND.

Lively activities
Hoa Xuan Ward also organized the "Spring Flower Market 2026" with many activities that attracted the participation and enjoyment of locals and tourists.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ngan, Secretary of the Hoa Xuan Ward Youth Union, the ward's Youth Union organized a mass performance of "Dance of Summoning Hearts" to celebrate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the success of the 14th National Party Congress.
Nearly 200 youth union members also performed the "Election Song," showcasing the enthusiasm of young people to encourage participation in the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and representatives to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
On New Year's Eve, Song Kon commune will organize an art program "Welcome Spring 2026" at the Bho Hoong community tourism village.
Previously, the "Song Kon Spring Fair 2026 - Identity and Integration" took place from February 9-11 to welcome people and tourists to trade, enjoy art programs, and learn about the culture of the Co Tu people.
The men's football tournament, celebrating the Party and welcoming the Lunar New Year, was integrated into the content of the first successful commune-level Sports Festival.
The competition for decorating and beautifying rural roads, and the first Song Kon Commune Drum and Gong Festival will also be organized to bring the joyful and exciting atmosphere of the traditional Lunar New Year to every home.
In Dien Ban ward, Mr. Pham Van Ba, Vice Chairman of the Ward People's Committee, said that the Ward Party Committee and People's Committee have been organizing many cultural, artistic, and sports activities in diverse forms, reflecting the national cultural identity in a joyful and safe manner.
Typically, the club was launched and participated in the first expanded martial arts competition between traditional martial arts clubs in Dien Ban ward, as well as the chess tournament celebrating the Party and the Lunar New Year.
On the evening of February 7th, Dien Ban Square hosted an art program titled "Greeting the Year of the Horse 2026," attracting many people to watch and cheer.
On February 10-11 (the 23rd and 24th of the 12th lunar month), 22 teams from various neighborhoods in Dien Ban ward will participate in the "Tet Cake Cooking Competition".
Meanwhile, Youth Park and Dien Ban Square are hosting a series of art activities and folk games that will last until February 22nd (the 6th day of the Lunar New Year).
On the 5th, 6th, and 7th of January, the "Spring Bài Chòi Festival 2026" will be held at three locations, contributing to the spread of the nation's traditional art during the Lunar New Year.
