On the evening of February 15th, at the New City Park in Binh Duong Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, the Spring Flower Festival, Spring Flower Street, and Tet Book Street for the Year of the Horse 2026 in the Binh Duong area were inaugurated with many lively activities to serve the people and tourists during the Lunar New Year.

Taking place from February 15th to February 21st (28th day of the 12th lunar month to the 5th day of the Lunar New Year of the Horse), the Spring Flower Festival, Spring Flower Street, and Lunar New Year Book Street 2026 in Binh Duong Ward are organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports in coordination with the People's Committee of Binh Duong Ward.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports, with the theme "Spring Gathering - Steadfastly Moving Forward," the festival features many rich activities creating a vibrant, warm, and positive spring atmosphere, aiming to create a healthy cultural space for spring activities, meeting the needs of people for entertainment and cultural enjoyment during the traditional Tet holiday; while also promoting reading culture, disseminating historical and cultural values, and showcasing the socio-economic development achievements of the locality.

Alongside the Spring Flower Festival and Spring Flower Street, the 2026 Lunar New Year Book Street Festival will feature numerous activities including exhibitions of publications, documents, and images showcasing the cultural space of Ho Chi Minh; and commemorating the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026), leading up to the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and the election of deputies to People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

The 2026 Lunar New Year Book Street Festival contributes to creating a healthy and enriching cultural space at the beginning of the year, meeting the people's needs for cultural, informational, and journalistic enjoyment during the traditional Tet holiday. It also carries profound socio-political significance, showcasing outstanding achievements in the economic, cultural, and political fields of Ho Chi Minh City after the merger, with the theme "Ho Chi Minh City - A Livable Urban City".

In addition, the Spring Newspaper Exhibition space features many outstanding spring publications, showcasing and introducing typical spring press publications from central and local authorities; honoring the team of journalists and introducing outstanding activities of press agencies operating in Ho Chi Minh City and throughout the country.

At the festival, the Book Fair space, with the participation of many publishers and distributors, offered hundreds of thousands of books in diverse genres such as: culture, history, literature, children's books, Tet books, foreign language books, entrepreneurship, digital transformation, artificial intelligence and the 4.0 industrial revolution...

In particular, the 2026 Lunar New Year Book Street Festival focuses on experiential activities for children, including folk games, a calligrapher's area, a book giveaway program, and a beautiful spring photo corner.

The festival also features a cultural industry exhibition space, implemented as an experiential highlight within the series of activities of the Northwest Ho Chi Minh City Science and Technology City.

The space was created to spread awareness within the community about the value of the cultural industry, the role of science and technology, and innovative applications in modern urban life; thereby contributing to the formation of an environment for learning, experiencing, and connecting cultures.

In addition, there is a "Books and Life" space with a book cafe and book tea area, creating a relaxing stop for locals and tourists to enjoy reading culture.
