- On the morning of May 23rd, at the Hoang Van Thu Monument grounds, the Vietnam Olympic Committee, in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, organized the 2026 Children's Olympic Day program.

The program was attended by Comrade Tran Van Manh, General Secretary of the Vietnam Olympic Committee; representatives of the provincial departments and agencies; and more than 500 students (aged 12 to 17) from junior high schools in the wards of Luong Van Tri, Dong Kinh, Tam Thanh, and Ky Lua .

During the program, delegates and students listened to a message from the President of the International Olympic Committee; played games to learn about the Vietnamese and international Olympic movements; and participated in a 1km run . The running route started from the area in front of the Provincial Museum (Hung Vuong Street), ran through Da Tuong, Quang Trung, and Dinh Tien Hoang streets, and finished back at the starting point . After completing the required distance, delegates and students received commemorative medals from the Organizing Committee.

The 2026 Children's Olympic Day was organized to commemorate the 132nd anniversary of the founding of the International Olympic Committee (June 23, 1894 – June 23, 2026). The program created a healthy playground to help students develop a positive lifestyle, love physical activity, and foster a spirit of solidarity. Through this, it contributed to spreading the sporting motto "Faster – Higher – Stronger – Together" widely among the younger generation .
