Quickly remove difficulties for key projects in Van Phong Economic Zone

According to the report, currently in Van Phong Economic Zone, there are 13 projects being implemented. Of which, the group of key, large-scale projects invested by SunGroup Corporation includes 3 projects: Dam Mon New Urban Area (scale of more than 1,440 hectares, total investment capital of more than 25,000 billion VND), Tu Bong New Urban Area (scale of nearly 2,580 hectares, total investment capital of more than 40,000 billion VND), Co Ma New High-class Urban Area (scale of more than 235 hectares, total investment capital of over 5,970 billion VND). The group of key projects that have been approved for investment policy, selected investors, and are under construction has 4 projects; the group of projects in the stage of preparing documents, submitting for approval of investment policy proposals, and selecting investors has 6 projects. Regarding the implementation status, these projects are currently facing difficulties and problems with site clearance, and the one-time land rental price has not been determined yet. The Board has reviewed and coordinated with local authorities and relevant departments and branches to resolve issues for investors to speed up the progress of the projects.

Concluding the meeting, comrade Tran Hoa Nam requested the Provincial Economic Zone and Industrial Zone Management Board to carefully review projects that have been approved in principle and selected investors; to publicly disclose detailed information on project implementation progress to local people, creating consensus in site clearance work. The Board also needs to consider and propose to relevant departments and branches on the implementation of software to report on progress of public investment disbursement. For the progress of each project, the Board needs to develop a specific monthly and quarterly monitoring plan; and at the same time, require investors to commit to implementing on time as prescribed. For projects that are behind schedule, the Board needs to grasp the situation, difficulties, and specific problems; and coordinate with relevant departments, branches and branches to resolve them before reporting to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and resolution. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that communes and wards in the project area synthesize problems and difficulties and send them to specialized departments and branches for consideration, reporting and submitting to the Provincial People's Committee for the earliest solution.
