The purpose of this review is to collect complete and accurate information on poor households, near-poor households, households that have escaped poverty, and households that have fallen back into poverty; and to determine the income of households engaged in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries with average living standards and low-income workers according to the multidimensional poverty standard for the period 2021-2025.
The results of the review serve as an important basis for assessing the living conditions of each village and each population group; and also contribute to the development of policies to support and sustainably reduce poverty in 2025.

The results of the 2025 review of poor and near-poor households will serve as an important basis for localities to effectively implement social security policies. |
Son Dong commune requires officials carrying out the task to adhere to the "correct procedures - correct target groups - transparency - democracy - no omissions, no duplication." The team of reviewers received professional training according to provincial guidelines, mastering the criteria regarding income, the level of basic social service deprivation, and the content of household interviews.
According to current poverty standards, poor households in rural areas are those with an average per capita income of VND 1,500,000/month or less and lacking three or more basic social service indicators. Near-poor households have similar incomes but lack fewer than three indicators. In addition, households with an average standard of living are defined within the income range of VND 1,500,000 - VND 2,250,000/person/month.
During this period, Son Dong commune also reviewed low-income workers with an average income of 2,250,000 VND/month or less (not belonging to poor or near-poor households). This is a new measure aimed at more clearly identifying vulnerable groups in terms of employment and income.
To ensure the progress and quality of collected information, the People's Committee of Son Dong commune issued a Decision to establish a Steering Committee, a Support Team, and a Review Committee in each village, mobilizing political and social forces to participate. Currently, each village has established a committee to review poor households, near-poor households, and households with average living standards.
This year's review has several new points to note: direct review of each household; interviews with information providers, including heads of households or working-age individuals familiar with their family's situation; and a thorough examination of indicators of deficiencies in basic social services (employment, health insurance, education , housing, clean water and sanitation, access to information). In addition, it is crucial to accurately identify newly emerging households facing difficulties, and households that have fallen back into poverty due to natural disasters, epidemics, accidents, or other events during the year. No households that have submitted requests for review of poverty, near-poverty, or low-income workers should be overlooked.
According to the plan, before December 15, 2025, the Chairman of the People's Committee of the commune will issue a decision recognizing the list of poor households, near-poor households, and the list of households that have escaped poverty and near-poverty.
