The district also has many beautiful natural landscapes, with diverse and rich traditional cultural identities of ethnic groups. Up to now, the district has 5 intangible cultural heritages including: Soong Co singing of the San Diu ethnic group, Sinh Ca singing of the Cao Lan people, decorative art on traditional costumes of the Red Dao people, Tho Vuc Communal House Festival in Hong Lac commune and Hong Thai Communal House Festival in Tan Trao commune have been recognized as national intangible cultural heritages.

Comrade Pham Thi Nhi Binh, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee, said: The preservation and promotion of national cultural identity values associated with the implementation of the Movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" has always been of interest to Party committees and authorities from the district to the grassroots level and has received positive responses from the people. The Resolution of the 21st Son Duong District Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term has identified, exploited potentials, promoted tourism development to become an important economic sector of the district, as one of the three breakthroughs. Therefore, the district has had drastic directions and synchronously implemented many solutions to develop tourism associated with the preservation and promotion of historical and cultural relic values. Along with strengthening propaganda to raise people's awareness, promoting the values of historical and cultural relics, from 2016 to present, the district has attracted and created favorable conditions for a number of central ministries and branches to implement investment projects to restore and embellish historical relics with a total budget of over 129 billion VND; proactively coordinating with the provincial authorities to regularly restore and embellish key historical relic clusters and sites, such as: Na Nua historical relic cluster, President's Palace historical relic cluster, Prime Minister's Palace historical relic cluster, Dong Man - Lung Tau historical relic cluster, Sao Village historical relic cluster. Up to now, the district has coordinated with the provincial departments and branches to complete the construction of the Memorial Area for revolutionary predecessors, and is completing the Tan Trao museum project; the exhibition and screening area for documentary films recreating the history of "Liberated Zone Capital", "Resistance Capital"...
The district has also paid attention to effectively mobilizing resources to invest in building infrastructure and technical facilities to serve tourism development. Accordingly, it has attracted businesses to implement a number of tourism development projects in the area such as: The Cultural Tourism Village Project and promoting the value of the special national historical relic of Tan Trao implemented by Flamingo Group. Up to now, the project has completed technical infrastructure items and is continuing to construct phase 2 with items of eco-homestay accommodation, service shops around the parking lot, reception house... some items and services were opened at the end of April; Hoa Lung Lake tourist park project; VR360 virtual reality technology application project to promote the image of the special national relic of Tan Trao; Tan Trao flower garden project; Commemorative tree planting area project at the special national relic of Tan Trao; Cultural village gate project, campus renovation, homestay gate in Tan Lap village, Tan Trao commune;...
Thanks to synchronous and effective solutions, tourists coming to Son Duong account for nearly 50% of the total number of tourists in the province. Social revenue from tourism activities in the district annually reaches over 1,000 billion VND.
