On the morning of December 4, An Giang Electricity Company said that after the incident with the 110kV Ha Tien - Phu Quoc underground cable occurred on November 29, by the afternoon of December 3, An Giang electricity industry mobilized dozens of workers to work day and night to basically complete the temporary tower positions, bring the underground cable above the water surface and proceed to handle the incident cable location.
Currently, the weather at the construction site is complicated, with high tides and rain, but An Giang Electricity Company is expected to complete troubleshooting and restore power to the island's residents on December 5.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Loan - Vice Chairwoman of Phu Quoc Special Zone People's Committee - said that during the underground cable incident, Phu Quoc authorities coordinated with relevant units to come up with many solutions to temporarily supply electricity for people on the island.

The locality also called on people and businesses to join hands to share and limit the use of equipment, turn off lights when not really necessary, and wait for the power supply to be fully restored.
Up to now, about 6,100 customers in the northern area of Phu Quoc Island have been supplied with electricity in rotation from the low-voltage grid and 20 generators mobilized by An Giang Electricity Company.
Previously, Thuan Thanh KG Construction Design Consulting Co., Ltd. constructed a platform 300m from Ha Tien beach on November 29, affecting the 110kV Ha Tien - Phu Quoc underground cable.
The incident affected nearly 30,000 customers on Phu Quoc Island. People's lives were in turmoil due to lack of electricity for daily use.
The above company is implementing the investment project to build the main coastal road into the center of Ha Tien city (now To Chau ward, An Giang). The investor of the above project is the Department of Construction of An Giang.
The project was won by a joint venture of Tuan Hien Company Limited - Truong Phat Company Limited - Bridge and Road Joint Stock Company 10 - Ha Do 1 Joint Stock Company and Thai Son Investment and Construction Trading Joint Stock Company.
