Received special attention from central and local press
Recently, the Judging Council of the First National Press Award on the National Assembly and People's Councils (ND) in 2023 held a final round meeting to listen to the preliminary round results. According to the assessment of the preliminary round, the works participating in the award are of high quality, carefully invested, methodical, attractive content, and discovery, highlighting the role, position, and functions of the National Assembly and People's Councils.
The participating press works once again affirmed their role as an important bridge between elected bodies and voters and people. During the organization of the award, the coordination and propaganda work continued to receive close attention and coordination from agencies and units.

The Preliminary Judging Council held its second meeting to review the list of nominated works of the Sub-Committees, from which it decided to select 101 works to enter the final round.
The members participating in the judging of the Award include experienced journalists, leaders of press agencies, and veteran journalists with high professional expertise in press agencies to participate in the Preliminary and Final Judging Councils. Although the time was not long, with the highest sense of responsibility, the Council members selected quality press works.
According to the assessment of the Preliminary Judging Council, the number of works participating in the Award is very large, complete in all types of journalism, from both central and local press agencies. Notably, many local press agencies sent articles to participate and among them, many works made it to the final round. This shows the attractiveness of the Press Award writing about the activities of the National Assembly and People's Council in the national press system. Many works are invested elaborately and systematically in both content and form of expression, often in multi-part series, modern forms such as: megastory, infographic, e-magazine, long-form, data journalism...
Journalist Nguyen Duc Loi - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association , Deputy Head of the Award Steering Committee, Vice Chairman of the Final Judging Council said: "There are many works that deeply analyze the characteristics of the activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels, reflecting the impact of the decisions of the National Assembly and People's Councils. Information on activities at the parliament, decisions on investment policies for important national projects and works have a positive effect, promoting socio -economic development".
Comprehensively reflect the activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels
In fact, there have been many works that clearly reflect the role of the National Assembly, especially the innovations in the activities of the National Assembly and People's Council sessions. These innovations have created valuable and vivid materials for each press agency to exploit, create, and create works that breathe life and attract the public. The press works have highlighted the coordination and companionship of the National Assembly with the Government and the political system to promptly remove difficulties and "bottlenecks" in institutions, mechanisms, and policies, contributing to the effective implementation of the assigned tasks.

Journalist To Quang Phan - Chairman of the Hanoi Journalists Association, member of the Dien Hong Award Final Jury, said that the Organizing Committee received many works with high content of knowledge and professional labor, many series of very elaborate articles. Many works in various forms from print, electronic, radio, and television have applied modern press technology to improve quality, attracting readers and audiences. In the category of Photos, the quality is not yet high, this is the common situation of photo works participating in press awards today.
Journalist To Quang Phan emphasized: “Some local press works are of high quality, not inferior to the central press, there are a few works that are outstanding in terms of content and form. However, in general, the press works of local press agencies, although closely linked to the grassroots, are still limited in topic, the level of explanation, analysis, commentary and recommendations is still at an average level. I hope that, with a professional and standardized organization, in the coming time, the Dien Hong Award will have an independent position and be a prestigious award for our country's press system.”
Assessing the quality of this Dien Hong Award, Associate Professor, Doctor, journalist Nguyen Hong Vinh - former member of the Party Central Committee, former Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, former Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association said that in general, this is the first time the Award has been implemented but has attracted the participation of many central and local press agencies. This is a good thing. The works in the final round reflect relatively comprehensively the activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels. After being published, these works became known to the public and after winning the Award, the work was once again mentioned, making people and voters nationwide understand more about the enormous role of the National Assembly and People's Councils.
“Without the voices of the press to reflect the aspirations of voters, it would be difficult to make timely decisions. In addition, through the press, voters also understand the positive changes, the “pushes” to contribute to building a strong National Assembly, meeting the requirements of perfecting the state apparatus, promoting socio-economic development. I believe that in the second organization, the Organizing Committee will have innovations so that we can continue to improve and attract more quality works” - journalist Nguyen Hong Vinh shared.
