On the weekend of November, the Youth Union of Thien Huong Ward organized a campaign, attracting more than 100 union members, young people and local people to participate in general environmental cleaning, removing illegal advertisements, collecting plastic waste, taking care of flower beds and trees. The branches also maintained and renewed many youth works and projects, such as: self-managed youth environmental routes, green activity spots, green recycling corners...
Previously, in November 2025, the Party Committee of Thien Huong Ward organized a campaign to deploy the model "Green City - Joining hands on weekends" to dredge canals and renovate a 300-meter-long canal in Lam Dong 4 residential group, with the participation of a large number of cadres, party members and people. Immediately after that, the residential groups simultaneously organized to clean up the alleys... The joyful and responsible working atmosphere has created a spread and connection in the community.
“After that campaign, it became a habit, not only on weekends but every day, I and the people in the residential group were more aware of cleaning the environment from home to the alley and dumping trash in the right place,” said Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha in Lam Dong 4 residential group.
Cleaner streets, clear canals with lotus clumps, people actively responding to the movement... are clear results from the model "Green City - Joining hands on weekends" deployed by the Party Committee of Thien Huong ward from October 2025 to the end of January 2026.

Notably, the model is not limited to just 1-2 campaigns, but is deployed to all political and social organizations of the ward and each residential area with specific and practical methods. The Women's Union maintains the "5 no, 3 clean" movement, garbage-free roads. The Veterans Association implements self-managed roads. The Farmers' Association promotes organic waste treatment at home. The Youth Union promotes "Volunteer Saturday - Green Sunday". The ward's Trade Union incorporates green - clean - beautiful activities into the emulation movement.
The ward police handled violations of environmental sanitation. The militia actively participated in general cleaning and dredging of canals. Schools and businesses in the area built green - clean - beautiful landscapes and actively planted trees. Thuy Nguyen Irrigation Works Exploitation One Member Co., Ltd. coordinated in dredging and clearing the drainage system, contributing to improving the living environment in many residential areas.
Thanks to the synchronous participation, the urban appearance of Thien Huong ward has many positive changes, the streets are cleaner, there are more green spaces, and the living environment is more civilized. People are increasingly proactive in participating, monitoring, and directly benefiting from the living space that they contribute to creating.

Head of the Party Building Committee (Thien Huong Ward Party Committee) Ha Bao Nguyen said that Thien Huong Ward was established on the basis of merging the communes: Thien Huong, Lam Dong, Hoang Dong and part of the area of 2 communes Kien Bai and Hoa Dong.
When becoming a new ward, the requirement to build a civilized urban lifestyle is urgent. Therefore, in September 2025, the Ward Party Committee issued a decision to establish a Steering Committee for the model "Green City - Joining hands on weekends" with the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee as the Head of the Committee.
On that basis, the Steering Committee develops a master plan, assigns specific responsibilities to each agency, unit and organization, ensuring synchronous and close coordination throughout the entire implementation process.
In order for the model "Green City - Joining hands at the weekend" to go into depth, promote effectiveness and create strong spread, the Ward Party Committee has set specific targets: 100% of the roads and alleys in the area are organized to be clean and airy, limit waste accumulation, and preserve urban beauty. Over 80% of households classify waste at source. Build at least 5 model streets "Bright - green - clean - beautiful - safe", as a highlight for the movement, create spread in the community and serve as a basis for replication throughout the ward.
According to comrade Duong Thi Thap, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Thien Huong Ward , closely following the set goals, the Ward Party Committee has stepped up propaganda and mobilized each household, agency, and unit to register to do at least one practical job to protect the environment, contributing to forming a beautiful lifestyle and building a responsible, cohesive, and civilized community.
The residential groups organize response activities at least twice a month; the ward level implements once a month on weekends, mobilizing all cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees and workers to participate in environmental sanitation, cleaning canals and drainage systems in the residential groups. The ward also promotes planting, caring for and protecting trees on roads, parks, schools, agencies and encourages people to plant flowers and trees at home to increase urban green space.
The Steering Committee regularly inspects and supervises the maintenance of the model, promptly commends good practices and corrects limitations, ensuring the model operates seriously and effectively.
In particular, the Ward Party Committee includes the results of the model implementation in the annual emulation and reward criteria of Party cells, organizations and residential areas, creating motivation, increasing the responsibility of the political system and the active participation of the community, contributing to building a green, clean, beautiful, civilized and sustainable Thien Huong urban area.
