Taking the lead in mastering digital technology.
- Comrade, the draft document for the 14th National Congress places great trust in the younger generation. So, how will Hanoi's youth concretize this pioneering spirit through projects and tasks to solve the difficult problems facing the capital city?
Proactively putting the spirit of the 14th National Congress into practice, Hanoi's youth have determined that the motto "wherever youth are needed, youth will be there; wherever there are difficulties, youth will overcome them" is not just a slogan, but must be realized through groundbreaking and creative actions.
First, in the field of digital transformation, we have been implementing the "Community Digital Transformation Team" model in 126 communes and wards with over 5,000 young people participating. This is not simply technical support, but a bridge helping people access online public services, from installing VNeID and iHanoi to the electronic Party Member Handbook.
In particular, the "Youth Volunteer Team Supporting Local Government at Two Levels" has truly become a key force at the grassroots level, working together with localities to accelerate the digitization of population data and administrative reform.
In addition, the Hanoi Youth Union, in coordination with the City's Public Administrative Service Center, launched the "Youth Accompanying Public Administration" campaign. The presence of young people in blue uniforms at one-stop service centers not only helps shorten processing times but also contributes to creating the image of a friendly, people-oriented government that serves the people.
Regarding economic development, Hanoi's youth are focusing on breakthroughs through the innovation and startup ecosystem. We are not just stopping at simple startup support programs, but are directing the energy of young people towards green economy projects, circular economy, smart urban agriculture, and emission reduction solutions aimed at achieving Net Zero. This is how Hanoi's youth are making a substantial contribution to the nation's sustainable development.
In the construction of urban civilization and new rural areas, young people have been at the forefront with hundreds of specific models and tasks. Not only have they contributed to improving the appearance of the capital through mural streets and youth-led flower gardens, but Hanoi's youth have also left a strong mark in digitizing historical and revolutionary relics, libraries, etc., thereby creating sustainable values and spreading a beautiful lifestyle and profound sense of community responsibility.
- To realize the goals set out in the Party's 14th Congress Document, what solutions does the Hanoi Youth Union have to promote the "core" role of young people?
Nowadays, mastering technology is no longer an advantage, but a mandatory requirement. Following the direction outlined in the Party's 14th National Congress documents, every youth union member in Hanoi must identify themselves as "soldiers" on the digital front, ready to undertake challenging tasks in the digital transformation process and contribute their intellect directly to new economic models.
The City Youth Union will promote the "Digital Literacy Movement" with the goal of ensuring that no one is left behind in the digital transformation process. We will not only provide technical support through "Community Digital Technology Teams," but also aim to build a digital culture for the people.
Every year, we organize competitions and academic playgrounds... During the 2025-2030 term, we will implement the "Youth Innovation Space" model at youth support centers, universities, and industrial zones to nurture business ideas and test feasible startup models. The Hanoi Youth Union is committed to supporting young people in realizing their projects, bringing technology to serve the community, and contributing to making Hanoi a leading innovation center, worthy of the trust that the 14th National Congress has placed in the younger generation.
Building a model of ambitious and dedicated young people.
- The draft of the 14th Party Congress emphasizes the education of ideals for young people. So, what practical solutions does the City Youth Union have to transform national pride into a desire to contribute, Comrade?
The draft document for the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam particularly emphasizes strengthening the education of young Vietnamese people on revolutionary ideals, ethics, lifestyle, patriotism, national pride, nurturing dreams, aspirations, willpower, and a desire to contribute, and upholding responsibility towards the country and society. This is not only an immediate task, but a strategic issue that determines the quality of human resources for the country's future. For the youth of Hanoi, we have determined that education must go hand in hand with action, ideals must be linked to practical aspirations for contribution, and we will concretize this task with three key groups of solutions:
Firstly , we are innovating traditional educational methods through digital technology. We are not stopping at purely theoretical methods of transmission, but shifting the focus to experiential education. The "Red Address Encoding" project has digitized 322 historical and cultural relics using 360-degree virtual reality technology. When history is vividly recreated in the digital space, patriotism and national pride will naturally permeate the hearts of each member, becoming a solid foundation for nurturing ideals.
Secondly , we aim to build a model of Hanoi's youth in the new era: "Elegant - Civilized - Aspirational - Creative - Pioneering." This is a combination of traditional Hanoi cultural values with a modern spirit. We create an environment for young people to cultivate a responsible lifestyle, strong political conviction, and a desire to master science and technology. This is the new identity of Hanoi's youth in the new era.
Thirdly , we need to make breakthroughs in Party development from outstanding Youth Union members. We consider this a crucial step in "passing on" the ideals. Last year, from thousands of outstanding Youth Union members who were recommended, hundreds of comrades had the honor of joining the Party. These young Party members are the most practical examples to spread the spirit of dedication and the aspiration for national progress to all young people.
- A resolution only truly comes alive when it permeates daily life. Immediately after the Congress, what political activities and campaigns will the Hanoi Youth Union launch that are youthful and modern in style to ensure the spirit of the Resolution reaches its members most effectively, Comrade?
Immediately after the Congress, we will launch intensive political activities with the theme "Hanoi Youth Proudly and Confidently Following the Party." The new approach is that instead of dry lectures, we will promote the application of digital technology, artificial intelligence, or organize quizzes on various technology platforms.
With the motto "Correct awareness, sufficient information, swift action, strong connections, wide dissemination," the City Youth Union will comprehensively innovate its methods of communication through social media, such as creating infographics and short videos on TikTok/Facebook to make it easier for members to access information.
In particular, instead of focusing solely on combating misinformation, Hanoi's youth are pioneering the principle of "Using beauty to overcome ugliness." We encourage each member to be an ambassador of kindness, spreading beautiful stories and humane actions every day. This is the most sustainable way to build a civilized online environment, contributing to the firm protection of the Party's ideological foundation through the power of positive dissemination.
Together with the youth of the whole country, the youth of Hanoi are more aware than ever of their responsibility and mission in the development of the nation. Imbued with the spirit of the 14th National Congress, the youth of Hanoi are committed to using digital intelligence to serve, using green thinking to create, and using political acumen to protect the culture and character of the people of Hanoi. This is the foundation that enables us to confidently rise with the nation, affirming the position of the capital – the heart of a strong and prosperous Vietnam.
