Suzuki Fronx achieves 5 stars ASEAN NCAP, leading the segment in safety technology

Suzuki Fronx has just achieved a 5-star safety rating from the New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asia (ASEAN NCAP) after a series of rigorous tests on collisions and safety support technology.

Suzuki Fronx has just officially achieved the highest 5-star safety certification from the New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asia (ASEAN NCAP) after a series of rigorous tests on collisions and safety support technology. This achievement of Fronx affirms its leading position in the SUV segment in terms of safety technology (*), and also affirms Suzuki's continuous efforts in bringing safe and reliable vehicles to customers.

According to the results announced by ASEAN NCAP, Suzuki Fronx performed excellently in all 4 main assessment categories with a total converted score of 77.70 on a scale of 100, including: 36.71 points in the Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) category. 15.27 points in the Child Occupant Protection (COP) category. 15.71 points in the Safety Assist (SA) category. 10.00 points in the Motorcycle Safety (MS) category.

The version used in the ASEAN NCAP test is the 2025 version, 1.5L engine with 6AT automatic transmission, equipped with 6 airbags, corresponding to the GLX Plus version in Vietnam. Fronx is the only model in the SUV segment to achieve the highest safety certification of ASEAN NCAP (*).

This result is achieved thanks to the combination of a series of advanced safety technologies. The car is equipped with 6 standard airbags on all versions, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Seat Belt Warning (SBR) for both driver, front and rear passengers, ISOFIX child safety seat connection points.

The GLX Plus version also adds the ADAS active safety driving assistance package, including Automatic Emergency Braking II (DSBS II), Lane Departure Warning (LDP), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), 360-degree Camera and especially Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC).

In addition, features such as the Blind Spot Monitoring System (BSM) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) on the All-new Fronx are given special attention by ASEAN NCAP in the Motorcycle Safety category, thanks to their ability to help drivers avoid unexpected collisions, especially useful in Southeast Asia's mixed traffic conditions, with motorcycles accounting for up to 80% of traffic participants.

In Vietnam, the All-new Suzuki Fronx was officially launched on October 17, 2025 as a fully imported vehicle from Indonesia.

According to ASEAN NCAP's assessment, Suzuki Fronx provides comprehensive protection, not only for passengers in the car but also for surrounding road users, demonstrating Suzuki's commitment to meeting increasingly high safety standards in the region.

In Vietnam, the All-new Suzuki Fronx was officially launched on October 17, 2025, imported from Indonesia, marking the 30th anniversary of Suzuki Vietnam's companionship and development. The coupe SUV carries the message "Dare to Reshape", affirming a strong transformation in the image of urban SUVs. The design of the Fronx is a clear demonstration of Suzuki's global philosophy of "Sho-Sho-Kei-Tan-Bi" (Small, Compact, Light, Short, Beautiful), combining sophisticated design, upgraded comfort and flexibility to create an exciting driving experience for users.

ASEAN NCAP is a member of the global NCAP network of organisations, established to improve safety standards, increase consumer awareness and encourage the market to develop safer vehicles in the Southeast Asian region.

The program is a collaboration between the Malaysian Institute for Road Safety (MIROS) and Global NCAP. In addition, ASEAN NCAP also receives support from the Automotive Association of the countries in the region including: Philippines (AAP), Singapore (AA Singapore), Cambodia (AAC) and Thailand (RAAT).

(*) SUV models have a total length under 4,300mm and engine capacity up to 1.5L.
