This will be the first Congress where we no longer have "martial arts hot girl" Chau Tuyet Van in the lineup. However, with the systematic steps of rejuvenation, this is determined to be Vietnam's strong content.
Therefore, the Vietnamese martial arts performance team still set the target of winning 2 gold medals, determined to successfully open the campaign of hunting 110 gold medals of the Vietnamese sports delegation at the 33rd SEA Games, with the force of female martial artists Nguyen Thi Kim Ha, Le Tran Kim Uyen, Nguyen Thi Y Binh.

On December 11, key athletes such as Nguyen Thi Mai (46kg) and Nguyen Hong Trong (54kg men) promise to bring more good news to Vietnamese Taekwondo.
The retirement of the reigning world and Olympic champion of host country Thailand, veteran athlete Wongpattanakit Panipak, will open up an opportunity for Truong Thi Kim Tuyen (women's 49 kg) to attack the SEA Games gold medal.
In general, the Vietnamese taekwondo competition puts its trust in Ly Hong Phuc (gold medal at SEA Games 32), Truong Thi Kim Tuyen (49kg women), Bac Thi Khiem (67kg women, bronze medal at ASIAD 19 in 2023), Tran Thi Anh Tuyet (57kg women, silver medal at SEA Games 32)...

Athlete Bac Thi Khiem won a bronze medal in the 67 kg competition at the 19th ASIAD in 2023.

Vietnam Taekwondo hopes that the training session in Iran from November 4-24 with coach Erfan Heydarl (Iran) will help improve the competitive spirit of the men's team including Nguyen Hong Trong, Dinh Cong Khoa, Le Tuan, Ly Hong Phuc, and Pham Minh Bao Khoa.
Among them, Nguyen Hong Trong (54 kg men) is developing very well, while Le Tuan promises to bring a surprise after defeating Pham Dang Quang (32nd SEA Games gold medalist) at the 2025 national championship.
After finishing in the top four at the 32nd SEA Games, the women's team of five fighters Nguyen Thi Mai, Truong Thi Kim Tuyen, Nguyen Thi Loan, Tran Thi Anh Tuyet and Bac Thi Khiem had a training trip to Korea and made a lot of progress.
Vietnam Taekwondo Team Leader Nguyen Thu Trang said: "The whole team has settled down and is training in Bangkok. Currently, the team's health and spirit are very good. Everyone is ready to prepare for the competition.
This will be the first SEA Games in 12 years, exactly one zodiac sign, that Vietnamese taekwondo will not have the participation of Chau Tuyet Van, who has won 6 consecutive gold medals since 2013. However, this is Vietnam's strong event, we have carefully prepared for them to inherit and continue this strong event."
