In its latest edition, commemorating the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026), the National Political Publishing House has revamped the work with coloring pages.
In addition, the colorful illustrations depict historical periods, figures, and significant events of the nation, helping readers, especially children, easily visualize the arduous yet heroic journey of nation-building and national defense undertaken by our ancestors.
In each page of the book, national heroes, glorious battles, and sacred historical milestones come to life vividly through a multitude of colors.

In 1942 in Cao Bang, the book "History of Our Country" was published by the Viet Minh Propaganda Department to serve the propaganda and education of patriotism and national consciousness among the people.
Through simple yet deeply moving verses, history emerges as something more intimate and vivid, not just a series of dates or events, but like a heartfelt story told by grandparents and parents to their children about a resilient, indomitable, and patriotic nation.
Over eight decades have passed, yet the book "History of Our Country" retains its historical value, ideological significance, and enduring vitality in the hearts of readers. The work is concise, concise, easy to remember and understand, bringing history to the masses through simple, relatable six-eight syllable verses.
In particular, in the final chronological section of the work, President Ho Chi Minh predicted that the Vietnamese nation would achieve independence in 1945, demonstrating his strong belief in the future of the revolution and the nation.
The combination of President Ho Chi Minh's intellectual legacy with modern forms of expression has allowed the nation's history, once recounted in the simple verses of Uncle Ho, to continue being told with color, emotion, and love for Vietnam today.
Through this, President Ho Chi Minh's teachings on history, patriotism, and national consciousness continue to spread, contributing to fostering pride in the glorious traditions of the nation, a sense of responsibility towards the homeland, and the aspiration to contribute to a peaceful, strong, prosperous, and happy Vietnam.
