Re-scripted by writer The Chau

This is a Cai Luong play based on the story "Tran Minh Kho Chuoi" in Vietnamese folklore. In 1976, after many versions by different authors, the script "Ben Cau Det Lua" by playwright The Chau was staged and performed by Thanh Minh Cai Luong Troupe.

For nearly 50 years, this classic script, despite going through many different versions, is still loved by the public. They still mention the names of talented artists of the Thanh Minh troupe such as: Thanh Nga, Thanh Sang, Hung Minh, Bao Quoc, Thanh Tu, Ngoc Nuoi, Kim Huong, Van Nga, Chi Hieu... These artists have excellently portrayed the characters in the play, becoming the model for the main and supporting characters.

In the new version of "Ben Cau Det Lua", director and People's Artist Tran Ngoc Giau has given many roles to young faces: Kim Luan, Thy Phuong, Vo Thanh Phe, Nguyen Van Khoi, Minh Hoang, Phung Ngoc Bay, Hoai Nam, Thanh Dong, Hoang Minh Vuong, Tat Dao, My Linh, Kim Thuy... The play is expected to attract a large audience, especially those who love Cai Luong and classic scripts.
